I just got the green light on this land that is a total of 70 acres with the field being 30 acres. here is the break down of the land. the picture is from the winter time so the oaks right now are still green. The blue line is a very small creek like 2 feet wide. from the field to the creek is a pretty good slope down i would say atleast 70 to 100 feet difference maybe even more but its just a slope not that steep.as you can see there are houses all around the land. the green dot is where my climber is and there are some good rubs aroudnt his area "coke can size rubs" Have seen deer in the east side of the field. Any info on a good location to sit would be great. I have walked a good part of the land, but dont want to bother it right now b/c the rut is about to be in full swing.

Are you bowhunting, firearm hunting, or both? Is there anything planted in the field?

If you're wanting to hunt the field I'd pick a place where you would be downwind of where you've seen most of the deer enter it. If I didn't know for sure and wanted to sit and watch it I would choose the point just west of the southeastern part that's tucked back into the woods.

Also, once you know where the majority of the deer are coming from out of the eastern timber, I'd backtrack those trail(s) and pick a tree where heavily used trails cross the trail(s) you're backtracking.

That southeasten part of the field also creates a bit of a pinch point back there that coincides with the timber south of the property. Probably the 1st place I'd check back there is where the oak edge meets the evergreens. I'd look for the most heavily used trails that cross back there with the rut coming on.

With all that said, I'd also be prepared to adjust locations based on deer sightings from your stands.
