This probably isn't what people would think but I would have to ask new England firearm to make me a heavy barrel medium length, camo thumb whole stock, single shot chambered in 300rem ultra mag. I like the handy rifles and love shooting single shots,I know there not the highest priced guns out there and there would be more higher priced guns but the new englands are built realy well and I just Ike the way they feel and shoot. As far as the caliber choice, the 300 rem ultra mag is one hard and flat shooting gun. I used to have one and realized it done to much damage on a deer and sold it,I have kicked myself in the rear ever since.

I'd ask the CZ guys to build a bolt gun with a semi-heavy contour barrel in 5mm Rem Rimfire Magnum.

I'd ask the Winchester folks for the Model 70 Featherweight in 6.5x.284 Win, .284 Win and .358 Win. Also like to see the '94 back in an octagon 25-35 and .38-55. Would also like to see a '94 carbine in .480 Ruger.

I'd ask Ruger for a Super Redhawk Alaskan in a 4" .445 Super Mag and a Super Blackhawk in the same .

I'd ask the import distribution companies (Stoeger, E.A.A., etc) for a servicable, yet affordable SxS rifle........maybe in .470 N.E.

I kn ow I'll think of more. a guy can wish, can't he???

I'd like to see Ruger bring back the 77RSI in 250 Savage.

I'd like to see anyone come out with a bolt action rifle in .284 Win.

I'd like to see the Savage 99 back in just about any caliber. .243 or 250 Savage would be first choices.

Even better would be to see Winchester come back with the model 88 in just about any caliber. .243 or 250 Savage would again be first choice.

You need to bring that fine looking combo east of the Mississippi sometime to wreak its havoc on some steel at an OTPG event, Mr. Director, sir. salute.gif

Looks like a fun one!!!!!

I'd have Remington put a med contour 22" barrel with the 40X trigger on their 750. Also take that and beef up the receiver and action maybe integral scope rail base like the TC Icon. Have that in a soft touch Hogue style with TC Encore pistol grip curves and I'll take it in 7mm Rem mag.

Savage could offer their Model 12 BTCSS in .308 Win with an integral scope rail and 60 degree bolt lift.

That all I got for now I suppose.

It enjoys 180 grain Nosler E-Tip and 110 grains of reloader 22. 3725 fps mv. And rings steel quite regularly at 1200 yards.

yep........................it's fun.

Honestly, I don't hand load my own ammo or know enough about rifles to have known of this caliber before this thread. However, that sounds like a nasty round! Anything inside of 500 yards would be knocked pretty hard with that kind of energy. I kind of want one and I wonder what it'd do to a woodchuck. :D
