Burris Eliminator Laserscope ????

Does anyone out there have one of these scopes or know anyone who does?

I have one which I bought for myself and one I bought for my daughter. I mounted mine and sighted it in and really like it, but after sitting in the gun cabinet a few days, I took it out to show to a friend and the battery for the laser rangefinder was dead. I called Burris and they suggested I try another battery as some of the batteries supplied with the scopes wern't too good. I took the battery out of the box my daughter's scope came in and installed it into my scope. I cycled the scope on and off a few times and when I checked the scope a few days later the battery was dead again. I bought two new batteries. 3V. photo batteries @ $14 for the two. I installed one of the new batteries last Sunday. I checked the scope every night this week and the battery life indicator showed a fully charged battery. Last night I checked the scope again and the battery was totally dead.

I tried to call Burris today but got only a recorded message. I do have an extension # for the rep. I talked to before but will probably have to wait until Monday to talk to him again.

I am curious if anyone knows of this as a common problem or if I am just the unlucky one to get a defective one.

I did put a battery in my daughter's scope last Sunday and so far so good. I'll keep trying it throughout the weeks to come.I won't be mounting it until she comes home for Thanksgiving and brings her gun with her.
