92xj
Corey(Dawg) asked me to do a semi live hunt style thread for him while he is in Colorado mule deer hunting. I told him I didnt mind as I have nothing really going on the next ten days. So, this thread will be for his updates and whatever pictures he sends. Will get more info from him this evening and post his plan for the hunt.

92xj
He's on the road right now. Going to stop in Farmington NM tonight to get a room. First thing in the morning they will head to camp to get everything set up and unpacked. Friday is going to consist of scouting and tying up all the loose ends. Saturday is opening day of season. The camp where they will be staying is Southwest of Durango in the Redmesa area.

92xj
Cool..Get R Done Corey :eat: You're getting to be a popular hunt reporter Ben, and you're doing one heck of a job too. If I cant be there with the guys hunting, this is the next best thing. I think I need a job with RT doing online live hunts for all the Pro Staffers of RT.....hmmmm.......TIM!!!!.......I need a recommendation letter to send to Bill. Buckee, I could be onto something here. edit: What will be awesome is come Friday and/or Saturday there should be three live hunts going on, with three different animals, Whitetails, mule deer and Elk. It's getting exciting.

92xj
I'll try to help as much as I can so you get some sort of break lol. No break needed here. I treat this as a job to get the information from the field to the web for all to enjoy and follow as quickly as possible. But help as you please, it's all good. 92xj
One more pic. Trying to get Corey to play with the picture settings on his phone and me playing with mine as well. I think we have it down now between us and they are coming out decent. Here is another River bottom pic.
Hunt or be Hunted
Corey said They just got through looking at another corn field (same on he killed his buck out of last year) And the deer sign is scarce. Looks like it hasn't snowed enough in the mountains to push the deer down like last year. Edit: he said they are heading into camp right now! And he said it's warmer then average as well. 49 right now. Cell Service will be out for awhile now. buckee
Sounds like Steve may be right about the deer being higher, but it sure is beautiful country. I know around here you get a lot of deer coming down from up high as it gets colder, but, with that said, there is always a good population of deer that live down low all year round. I'm hoping for the best for Corey. Hope he finds that sweet spot
