Hunt or be Hunted
Oh wow! I didn't know they had them there!
92xj
Well, apparently boys will be boys, They came up with a plan at camp and all walked to the site of the attack. It apparently was hungry for deer that one of the guys was hunting. Here are some pics.... Cat track. Where it pounced from. Where it hit the deer. Blood and hair. buckee
tell corey to call the game warden and tell him about the buck. with a warden they can legally trespass. he needs to find that deer of his dad's and a warden can help. if not, i'd just take the chance and go look. take no rifles, just go find the deer. most ranchers will understand that. of course, the land may be owned by peta people, but i doubt it. i'd personally take the chance. again, don't take any guns. I agree. And times a wastin

92xj
The guys did have a warden with them when they thought about crossing the fence. The warden had them stay on their side while he crossed the fence to look. Corey said the warden was not too interested in looking very hard and was done within 15 minutes. When he got back, the warden really didnt offer any advice and just kind of left it at that. So, not sure what they are going to do.

You'd think he'd care a little more about his job to look for more than 15 minute.

92xj
Corey is pretty bummed. The morning hunt is already over. The private land they are hunting is only corn and alfalfa fields. The morning hunt consist of them watching the fields. By 8am the deer have moved off the fields and into the bottoms which they do not have permission to hunt. They only saw two does this morning. Nothing seems to be looking good for Corey.
redkneck
Thought it would be hard for him to top last year's deer.
92xj
Well, a cold front is passing through right now and the temps are dropping. Corey is set up for his evening set and waiting for the deer to start moving.
wtnhunt
I know it was tough this year hunting deer in Wyoming, weather did not help. We sure thought someone in Jeff's group would have better luck. Think we actually spotted more deer mid morning than we did early morning or late afternoon. A lot of time spent glassing. Hope things work our for Corey in Colorado.

dbHunterNY
i think they are calling for snow tomarrow. that may just change everything. got a thin blanket of snow here yesterday. while sitting in the office i couldn't help but think "i need to be out in the woods right now". when it's snowing I'm in the out there covering some ground. different hunting out west. should see more feeding with the weather coming in i would think. 92xj
Two guys in camp killed nice bucks this morning. They were not hunting the same property as Corey is. Corey is sending pics now, hopefully I will receive them and get them up soon.
92xj
Corey will be hunting the same area where these two were killed this morning. The guys hunting over there said they saw one more shooter buck in the field when these came out.
