woolybear
Does anyone have one of these or know of a link where I can view pics from one? I'm mostly interested in the quality of night photos it takes with the dual flash.
wtnhunt
Been using homebrews here for years Matt, so don't really keep up with all the new cams out there. Would probably check the chasingame reviews if I were in the market for one though.

woolybear
Would probably check the chasingame reviews if I were in the market for one though. Yup, last time I checked they didn't have the sample pics up yet and hadn't completed the review on this one. They got them up now. POS!!!!!!!!!! Why do you say that? Pic quality looked pretty good to me especially the white flash which is what I'm interested in. You know something I don't about this thing. The price seems nice for the specs. The price seems nice for the specs. The first three of them I had didn't work. All three snapped pictures continuously. The one I got that "worked" sucked batteries like nothing I've ever seen, and the flash malfunctioned after two weeks. The way I figure it, this company owes me for 4 trips to return the stupid things, plus the cost of the equipment. POS!!!
DropTine49
I've had one for several months, and I just put it out this morning. I got the camera because I had one of the junky Remington Ghost that is produced by the same company that quit working. I called the company and they said to send it to them and they would send me a new camera and in 2 weeks the thing showed up at my door. Depending on my work schedule next week, I will check it one afternoon after I hunt and post some pics.(I set the flash to IR to begin with to see if they were decent on the first run). woolybear
Depending on my work schedule next week, I will check it one afternoon after I hunt and post some pics.(I set the flash to IR to begin with to see if they were decent on the first run). That would be great. I think their IR quality on the WGI cams is better than some other brands 2x's the cost. Doesn't sound like they treated you too unfairly with the exchange for the old Ghost- hope it works out for ya. Bucknasty- sounds like you may have got a bad batch of refurbished Ghosts under a new sheet, lol. That sucks man. I dealt with their customer service once on my IR-4 and they were more than willing to make it right. May want to give them a call.
DropTine49
I just got back from hanging my climber, and the camera had 25 pictures on it. Most of them were of squirrels and two of deer, but the camera only took pictures for 2 days. When I walked up to it it showed that it was picking up motion but did not take any pictures. I changed the card and it began taking pictures. The card I took out would not read in my computer or digital camera but the quality on the picture viewer was rather good. After I hunt tomorrow if it has anything on it I will pull the card and post those pictures. Sorry I did not find anything out this time. (I also changed it from IR to the white flash). woolybear
Thanks for the report DT, I'm still interested in this cams performance....especially the white flash. Was curious about that viewer display as well. Thanks for being the test guinee pig.
DropTine49
After I hunted this morning I had 77 pictures of 2 does, 2 raccoons, and somewhere around 15 squirrels. I decided not to pull the card just yet to let it go for a complete week on 1 card. The picture quality is just like the sample pictures on chasingame.com. The next time I go I will pull and post what I get. So far I'm very satisfied with the quality of the camera, flash, and picture viewer. DropTine49
Sample Pictures What do you think he will score?
DropTine49
After 2 weeks, the camera still works great, and the battery life indicatior shows that it still has half battery life. Overall I'm very happy with the quality of the pictures, flash, and viewer.
pointing_dogs_rule
I have the IR4 WGI. The IR will only get photos about 20 feet away. Flash often goes off with only a black picture because subject is too far away. Limited IR range. Beware: I had one camera no good out of the box and it took them 4 weeks to mail me a new camera! daytime photos are ok. good luck to all the dog
