ruttinbuc
Randy O breaks his own world record on the Jimmy Kimmel Show! What more can you say about his skill and ability along with his down home personality. Here is a video for those who missed the show last night. What a great show. Randy and Jimmy made a great team. A real hoot! Check out the fascination of the crowd. I think there may be a few more people picking up a bow thanks to Ambassador Randy Oitker! Some early reviews....... That was close..2 for four and the other two were touching those lifesavers! I think it was the drum roll that helped him just miss. Has to be nerve wracking. Talk about pressure! WTG Randy!!!:cool2: I got it, I got it ..channel 85 Randy buddy, I could feel the tension. Man that was nerve racking.:bang:..but...you did it you done doed it...you broke your own world record on the third try. ..YEEEEEE HAAWWWW :toot::toot::toot::toot::toot::toot: & arrows..WOWZERS !!!! Way to go buddy. You made us all proud. The one good thing about the misses buddy, is that you showed everyone that it is not trick shooting. It is precision archery. Now I can have a life-saver and go to bed comfortable Buckee, I was on the edge of my seat and I knew the outcome. Randy had just finished taping the show 30 min. before it aired! It was very suspenseful but all can watch it tomorrow on this link unless you aren't in the USA! EH!! http://abc.go.com/shows/jimmy-kimmel-live Caught it! My 10 year old granddaughter reminded me earlier that tonight was the night; good thing I have her around to remind me of all the stuff I'd otherwise forget.:bang: The show was great - Randy's part, that is. Randy, youse done good! Edited November 5, 2010 by ruttinbuc

RTPROFamily
My husband said that just before he attempted his third try, Randy turned very white and almost passed out, the stage hands had to go get him some water. This was probably the most pressure and nervous that Randy has ever been. I don't know how he did it! Guinness only allows 3 attempts so the third attempt HAD to be good! Thanks for all of the congrats, i will pass the info on!

Ilbowman
After speaking with randys mom before the kimmel show was aired she told me he did it on the third shot, but for some reason I kept on the edge of my seat during each shot thinking he would do it!!! Way to go buddy!! Ryan

He was sweating really bad under those hot lights and Jimmy sure didn't help with his nerves, with all his talking while he was trying to shoot. I'm so proud of him Darla. He came through in a pinch, kept a smile on his face, and it was awesome to watch. That girl on the show was so full of herself, it just made Randy look better..LOL
buckee
I just talked to Randy on the phone. He's still stoked. They're going to enjoy the day and see some sights now, and try to relax a bit after last night. Randy is a star
ruttinbuc
All I can say as a friend of The Oitker's it was really special to see all of this happen. The show was in the works for a long time and Randy has been through a lot with his travels to London, Rome and Bejing. The pressure had to be super incredible in that atmosphere. In the end Randy showed what a true talent he really is. To pull through from almost passing out and getting it done is remarkable. I know my neighbors heard me hootin' and hollerin' when he made the shot! I spent most of the night transferring tape to my computer and editing the "good stuff" for those who didn't see or record the show. I would have like to added bells whistles and sirens, but I was drained from all the excitement. Hope you all enjoyed it.

Diana was watching the show with me last night, and thought the show was over, before Randy made that last attempt..LOL. She had just climbed into bed when I started Hootin and Hollarin myself
dbHunterNY
Awesome job under any conditions, let along those. I'm surprised Jimmy didn't get out an air horn! I think Randy's going to need a bigger target soon! Nice job on the video Mike, I'm sure some probably missed the show.
Shaun_300
That is awesome Randy! Congrats on your new record buddy. You deserve it! To be able to pull through that kind of pressure is amazing, I know I could never do it!

stevebeilgard
good job with the show, mike. with the randy's as friends, i could feel the fatherly pride with that man on stage. what a show. but, one small distraction was it's the first time i've seen randy perform without a realtree shirt. dang. that's an opportunbity missed, imo. that matthews sign on the front of the bow will sell equipment for matthews, for sure. congrats again, randys. i pluralize randy as his dad is 1/2 the show but randy gets all the credit. us old men are the "oh, by the way" guys. lol
