If it makes you feel any better, most children are running around, playing happily about 5 minutes after the parents leave! Trust me, it does get easier! I'm cool about picking up, but dropping off is certainly tough somedays. I'd be willing to bet, daycare is a lot harder on the parents than it is the little ones. I was working about a 1/2 mile down the road from the daycare today so at lunch I stopped in to see my buddy and was able to have lunch with him. Harder yet to leave after that. But what hurts even worse will be the pinch on your wallet when you have two or three there at the same time. I pay $200 bucks a week for daycare and I'm sure there are others here who pay more.
