I live and hunt in central Ohio, but have done some deer and turkey hunting in Zaleski state forest. Very nice piece in Vinton county. We've got quite a few buckeyes in here and we all share stories, and in some cases we share treestands. I used to have a buddy that had a lease in Morgan county, but that's the last time I've been down to southern Ohio. Most of my weekends are tied up with my bud ohiobucks, and we hunt in Knox county for the most part. I'd love more info on Shade state forest. I've never heard of it. What county is it in? I hunt in Fairfield and Cochocton most of the time, do a little grouse hunting down about thirty miles SE of athens. I too would love some info on the south.
