joeaveragehunter
Word from up north is bachelor groups were seen as recent as two weekends ago. However things changed with the cold weather and things are heating up. Its about time cause I was about to name my 80 the ghost town. gzilla45
I hunted 4 days last week and the bucks were actively chasing does. The fork I shot came into the grunt call looking for a fight. I have photos of some younger bucks fighting from Tuesday also. Hopefully this activity will stick around for another week.
cray8705
the warm weather this week couldn't have come at a worse time, the bucks were moving good, but things have really slowed down now
c_lou
the warm weather this week couldn't have come at a worse time, the bucks were moving good, but things have really slowed down now Amen to that. I went out last night just to be out there. I figured being 64 would have the deer shut right down. I saw 1 doe and 1 small broken racked 3 pointer. However, I have seen deer running after dark while leaving my hunting area. The rut is still happening, just at night. Hopefully the cooler temps on Thursday change that to some daytime movement. arrow32
Down this away in WV things are starting to pick up. Dad seen one chasin this mornin all morning just no shots. Then I saw a couple bucks on another farm we hunt this morning and they to be getting more interested in finding some hot doe.
Ravin R10 man
it's going to bust wide open as soon as this front comes in and cools things down..so far bucks are ready but does are having nothing to do with them..they hear a grunt or see antlers..they are GONE! Jorden
it's going to bust wide open as soon as this front comes in and cools things down..so far bucks are ready but does are having nothing to do with them..they hear a grunt or see antlers..they are GONE! Agreed. Buck movement has been almost nonexistant since late october around here. Nothing on cameras, not seeing any around doe groups. Once that cold front comes in they should really start up...and activity should carry right on into rifle season
