Chenango Dave
Got in the stand around 2:30 and at about 3:25 I heard a loud crashing and the constant grunt of a buck. I stand up and get my bow ready and see its a little spike or four pointer right on a does tail. I tried grunting to get him to stop but no luck- he kept right on doggin her. Not even 20 seconds later I heard more grunts coming down the hill and here comes this guy on the same trail. As soon as I seen it was a shooter I drew my bow following him and then grunted prit near as loud as I could to get him to stop. I took the shot and seen it was a great hit and then he just stood there for at least 30 seconds, I seen the blood pumping out the other side everytime his heart beat. He then turned and went up the hill about 40 yards and came to a rest under a crabb apple tree. It's been a long time since I got a buck with a bow and this is my best one to date. Got him with a Hoyt AlphaMax, tipped with 100 grain 3 blade Muzzies..Not sure where this guy came from because I don't have any trail cam pics of him at all this year.. just goes to show you never really do know what all is out there... Take care Dave
