bloodtrails
Anyone using one yet? I'm thinkin' about it. Just wondering what you all think of the short ATA? I'm a 6'1" dude, do ya think I would look stupid with this short bow?.....lol.....any input would be great. Thanks.
ruttinbuc
It comes down to you in the end. Myself, I like the forgiveness of a longer ATA. A short bow can be difficult for some to shoot. Great for the tree stand, but you can work around that.

Any bow in the hands of a practiced archer can accomplish that. Especially, an animal the size of a moose. Equipment does not make the shot. The shooter does. jcot2773
I was not really please with the bow. Lots of hand shock to be as expensive as it is. When i shoot i will not grip a bow, i let it free fall on the wrist loop. the z7 extreme jumped out and left really hard with every shot. as far as the ata i love a short bow. makes light work of carrying it while packing in a climber. it is very quiet and very fast. but it just depends on what you like and what you are looking for in a bow. Leo
The ATA on that bow is 28" In general bows that are shorter ATA than your draw are more difficult to shoot accurately. If you're 6' 1" you probably have a longer draw than 28"
bghunter777
I felt one and the hand shock to me felt minimal. I dont think Mathews has produced a bow with much hand shock to speak of in years. The Z7 may have slightly and I do mean slightly less than the extreme but both would be great hunting bows. and either one is leaps and bounds in front of the competition. dbHunterNY
if you throw on a sight with second and third axis leveling then it's not a bad bow at all. when I checked it out, I thought it was pretty easy to cant it though. robinhood
my friend shoots it and he loves it. with shorter bows mean longer shots wont be as accaurate as would a longer bow.
