Ok here is the story & pics;

After a very slow season, and a heat wave 55 to 60 had the rut shut down, we got a wet sloppy NE snowstorn rolling in today..6 to 10" snowfall..temps in the low to mid 30's

Last time I sat was halloween eve., and been combing corn and doing field work till late Friday eve. Today, saturday started out with light snow, getting heavier all day. I got layered up and headed out to my plot stand by 2 pm...Im up in a balsam and on the leeward side, but still had dripping and melting wet snow falling on me, but not too bad. At 4;20 a doe & fawn busted out of the balsam onto the plot..I though..cool..live decoys!!...The doe kept looking back..good sign..,I kept an eye on where they came from, but also behind me figuring a buck may not venture out but circle around and come under me....thats just what he did too...I no more than looked down to my right and he busted out charging the doe...I hurridly tried to click my release on, but the buck turned and chased the doe off the plot and stood just upwind to my left...the doe and fawn came back out..the buck started heading back behind me to the left, so I turned around to my right on my swivle seat to keep an eye on him..on doing so I made a little noise with the sloppy sqeaky slush on my platform..he heard that and it put him on alert a little....he got out 30 yards going back the way he came, and I thought I may as well grunt and see if I can pull him back..grabbed my Primos Buck Roar which was set to tending buck; and gave him a long grunt followed by several short tending grunts. he snapped his head towards me and turned and he was comin!!..Got my release on my string and watch him briskly walking up towards a shooting lane..I drew as he went behind a balsam and he stopped with his head showing..I'm twisted as far to the right as possible a little awkward,(think it caused me to shoot a tad high),.. but as good as it's going to be... so I just kept going thru my checklist just as he took another step, vitals exposed, at 10 yards...I put the pin under him and came up, settled my pin and squeezed off the trigger, and sent a Rage on it's way.... THWACK!... down he goes like a rock, immediatly knew I spined him, his head still up, within seconds, I grabbed a muzzy tipped arrow and quickly anchored him with a lung shot...lights out!!

He is about a 200# deer and he did have a slight limp to one of his front legs..
