sureshot
yesterday was opeing day of whitetail here for rifle, at about noon I spotted a deer way off on a hill that looked like a mulie, when I looked throught the binos I seen brows and holly crap a monster, I drove 3 miles around to come in behind but I drove a bit to close, there was a buck on the sidehill at 364 yards, I was looking through the spotting scope but with the brush behind could not see him for a good look, after about 10 minutes he went over the hill and I nearly crapped, he has monster beams at prob 26 inch, at least a 5 by 5 with tall points and good brows, but were he was awsome was his palmated tines and beams, super thick looking from the side.prob the first time I seen a deer I really wanted first day lol, biggest deer I ever shot and I have shot 3 in ther 160's. we seen him one more time but he hunkered down in 300 acres of weeds and would not come out. last night was sleepless, I decided to take a gamble, I went out tonight and in a low spot unseen by the road I put a sort of mineral lick and on the other side a different type, I know the does love this stuff and with the rut just starting and me having fri to tuesday off I am hoping no one sees him till then, kind of a gamble I might hand someone a buck of my dreams on a silver platter but I guess that is why they call it gambling lol!!
