craig mack
Shot on 11-15-2010 in the western U.P. of Michigan. The DNR aged it at 4.5 years old and it weighed 164 lbs. Also shot a 3.5 year old doe on the 10th with my bow. Had a great hunt even though I missed a 8 point with my bow at 40 yards.

WHISKEYSWAMP
good buck, especially for the UP.... congrats! I was up at my cabin for a couple days but didn't hunt, although I did spend a few hours sitting in a blind enjoying the woods. No bucks for our camp... one of my buddies had a nice buck walk in behind him in the 1st 20 minutes of hunting on opening day but didn't see it until it was running away. You usually only get one chance at a buck where we hunt and that was his. The kill was up 18% according to numbers at the Mackinac bridge, probably should have taken a few days off and hunted... the weather was perfect compared to the last couple years. TeamBuckxlimp
EDITED BY need2hunt... These rules are pinned at the top of the deer hunting room, I'm guessing you didn't see them, please note the bolded sections. BASHING -In the future, there will be absolutely NO bashing of another persons kill. If it was done legally where they are from then you have no footing to make negative comments as to the size or manner in which that animal was killed. If you feel the need to bash them then you need to find another forum to call home. All such posts will be deleted and members in violation of this policy will be placed on a very short leash. APPROPRIATE CONDUCT and ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR (1) This is a a tightly run hunting forum.....and while many of you may be adults, there are also many kids that visit as well. Let's keep that in mind, keeping our topics and replies clean in content and language. (2) There should be absolutely ZERO inappropriate comments or interactions. This includes flirting, lewd or inappropriate comments, or any other behavior that is not acceptable, or deemed offensive. You know what is right and what is wrong........the adults of this forum need to lead by example. (3) The Moderators of the Realtree forums are here to help, but we can not be online 24/7......so you will be expected to police your own actions and comments. Also, if something is posted that is offensive to you, or may be to another member we hope that you would quickly contact several Moderators in hopes of reaching one, so that action may be taken. That action may be a simply editing or deletion of a post, including a warning....or if more serious, it could warrant a banning from these forums. Consider this notice, your only warning as well. Thank you for your continued efforts in making Realtree.com and it's Forums the best on the net.

Strut10
Listen, Limp............ You've posted a couple pics of dandy bucks. Congrats on taking them. But not everyone is fortunate enough to live in an area of the country where the 4 1/2 year old bucks look like they grew up in a feedlot. I don't. Craig doesn't. and a whole slew of our members don't. So, while we're all happy for your good fortune in residency, with 22 posts contributed to this forum (and 10% of those hacking on a man's trophy) your best bet is to cool your heels and run your mouth a bit less. If you ain't got nothin' nice to say.......................

Ditto, nice deer, but don't be trying to rain on someone else's parade just because your deer is bigger than his and your's is supposedly younger. If you'd like to gain any respect on here from anyone, I suggest you stop thinking out loud and trying to humiliate a long time member.
