gzilla45
With 6 ounces and his prior record, I'm guessing it will be hard for him not to do some time.
92xj
He was held for an hour or two and let go with a 2000 bill. Not exactly hard for him to dig up and pay out. I don't do weed, never have never will. What you do in your own private time out of public is fine with me just don't preached to me about it or make me aware of it. I also say legalize it, tax the **** out of it and with the earned tax send every high school student with a GPA greater than a 3.0 to college on a full ride. The "drug war" on this stuff is the biggest waste of tax dollars ever. Nothing is changing and everyone who smoked before this drug war is smoking it now. Its also hopefully killing off a few stupid people, so smoke on. I am all for population control.

Simple question, what are you going to do about the innocent people that are getting killed by the stupid? Just say tough, shouldn't have been in the way? Same scenario as drunk driving, alcohol is legal, but a lot of people die that shouldn't because of it. So, making drugs legal is not the answer, the answer lies with parents raising their children right, only problem there is the parents who are druggies. No easy answer. 92xj
Nothing done with drugs will fix its problmes. No matter what, it will be out there and will be used. Why not tax it and make money on it? Legalizing it will not increase the death rate of people on the roads.
texastrophies
Legalizing it will definately increase the death rates on the roads. How many people out there now are scared to try it for fear of getting caught with drugs? Make it legal, and then there is "No Harm" in trying it, because it is legal. Then you just have that many more people using it. To make money off of it sounds like a plan the democrats would come up with. The solution to everything, just tax it. No, the solution is to stiffen the penalties for any use. Anytime there is a failed drug test, which a lot of us that work have to take, it should be reported and the person arrested and sent to jail. Anyone (including stores selling it) caught with drugs or paraphanaliea ( I know I butchered that) same thing, doing time. I know there are flaws in that solution, and it would not stop everyone, but it would be a lot better than what we are doing now or making it legal. 92xj
Everyday I wake up and try and think of ways to make a positive out of a negative. I do not agree with drugs or drug use and I never will. Have seen it do horrible things to friends and family members but there is no way anything we do as an enforcement will make it go away. No one is going to change parents. I am sure your kids will do something in their lives that you as a parent had no control over and told them to do the opposite. I know my parents were the best parents ever, only guided me in the right direction, yet I still did things that they did not approve of. There really is no answer to drugs and eliminating them. They will always be a problem. I only say legalize pot, nothing else.
92xj
I have no desire to spend even more of my hard earned money on taxes when the prisons are over run with people who are thrown in jail because of pot. Its hard enough making ends meet now and with stiffer penalties and more jail time our taxes will increase. Screw that. I am all for public stonings. I wouldn't mind it if the rich people paid to house more inmates. Edit: typing on a blackberry while flying in a plain sucks. Sorry for an grammar errors, I know they annoy me. I apologize if I have any, but I am not proof reading. Edited November 29, 2010 by 92xj
Shaun_300
Doesn't really surprise me that it happened to him. He didn't seem to be afraid of people knowing he doesn't. Heck he even sings about it in some of his songs. I have no use for it or any other drug for that matter either. I do not think it should be legalized. Not sure about in the US but in Canada it can be prescribed by a doctor for medical reasons. Other than that the penalties should be stiff for the ones who get caught. Celebrity or not. Dawg
We really can't say that it would or wouldn't increase death rates on the road by making it legal. That's like trying to forecast the weather for this time next year. No one really knows.
