Grady269
I have been really wanting to get a Savage ML-II , ever since my home state of Virginia approved the use of smokeless powder in guns that are designed for it. Well this year I bit the bullet and bought myself one. I have heard a lot about this rifle mostly good some bad. I have to say for my part the experience has been all good. I brought it home and mounted a Leuplod VX-II that was gathering dust and took it out to shoot. Shoot well it did as long as I was very specific to what Savage recommended. 240gr XTP and 44 Gr of Accurate Arms. @ 1" high 100yds it hit 4" low @ 200 yds. I did not kill a buck during ML season this year but did shoot (2) does, results were impressive. I have heard rumors that Savage is going to end production on this rifle, I hope not, it is one awesome gun. The accuracy is great, Accu-trigger, and you just clean it once a year. smallmunster
I have two brothers with Savage's (I load tested and sighted both in) and we have been pleased with them. They are done producing them though. The sales were not the best, although they didn't do a very good job getting the word out about them. I am sorry to see them go, it is down to a few custom outlets for smokeless muzzleloading now.
