RangerClay
I have a radio going in my classroom. I have it set on a radio station playing 24 hours of Christmas music. So the next tune that comes on is Porky Pig singing Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas". Now if you have never heard this you should, it very funny. So the kids start whining about the tune. "Who is that!?" they all complain. "Why that's Porky Pig" I tell them. Then I get a bunch of kids saying, "Who?" After polling the kids, I discover that more than half didn't have a clue who Porky Pig was. How depressing. I feel bad that these have never seen the Looney Tunes cartoons. Dennis Leary once said that there is nothing a good Foghorn Leghorn could not cure.
Tominator
Looney Tunes is my all-time favorite cartoon. There have been other cartoons that make me laugh pretty good (original Sponge Bob, Samurai Jack, etc), but there's nothing as consistent as Looney Tunes for all out laughing. My wife looks at me like I'm an idiot when we watch Looney Tunes. I have them all memorized.

wtnhunt
Those are the good ones for sure Joe. Unfortunately we don't get any channels that show those shows on a regular schedule. My kids do like some of the classics when we get the rare chance to catch them.
c_lou
I finally got my girls to watch Tom and Jerry. When we can find it on TV, they actually like watching it. The old Looney Toons are pretty tough to find on TV, every once in a while we will find them. About the only good cartoon today is Phineas and Ferb. There on rather regularly around here. There yesterday I spent an hour watching Tom and Jerry. Great show. On of them was the one where Tom is trying to catch the Gold fish and eat it. Good stuff:D
stevebeilgard
the kids today grow up on junk t.v. we had the mickey mouse club, lone ranger, bonanza, and real good cartoons. t.v. would be much better showing the old shows, with their moral tales, than what i'm seeing today.
