jtacres
I'm wondering if anyone out there knows how an individual might go about getting someone interested in building and marketing a new product for deer hunters, both bow and gun. I've built a few and my friends all love them, they believe all deer hunters would like to have one. However, I've found that applying for a patent and marketing it would take more money than this poor guy has? Are their companies that might take a look at it and perhaps work out a percentage deal? need2hunt
Even if you do not have the funds to make and market it yourself, if it's a good product idea that nobody else has it would be in your best interest to patent it before showing it to anybody IMO. Once you have it patented then you can start contacting potential manufacturers that it would fit within their current product line for possibility of either selling of the idea or possible % off sales, etc. Be careful showing it to any manufacturer without being protected in some way or you may see it on the shelf without any benefit to you. just my .
jtacres
New Products Thanks for the advice. I have been warned about showing it to too many folks. From what I've read, or been able to find on the internet, it takes months,,and thousands of dollars to apply for and receive a patent. I was hoping someone with some experience in that field might be willing to "partner" up so to speak..
