HUNTINGMAN
I was wondering if anyone could answer this question for me please. If I was to sell a rifle, and wanted to ship it to a ffl carrier, would it have to be shipped from a liscences carrier or could I ship it myself to the carrier? Thanks in advance. 92xj
From an FFL ($5 fee for you) to an FFL ($15-30 fee for pick up). Those were the figures they gave me. Could be different though.
texastrophies
It depends on if the FFL that is receiving it will accept it from an individual. I know a lot of them will. The last two guns I bought like that were both sent from an individual to my FFL.

Yep, and some on the receiving end will not release the firearm to the purchaser without the sending ffl being current. Got held up a few years ago on a gun(brand new in the box) I went to pick up, the sending ffl sent their copy but it was an extension. Some questions were raised due to dates on their file, but they cleared it with this states authorities. Cannot really blame ffl dealers for wanting all their paperwork accurate these days. Would be absolutely sure the receiving end that they are willing to accept from a non ffl sender before sending.
Hoosierbuck
The guys are right, it is not a law that the shipper must be an FFL, but some FFL's just won't take receipt if it's not sent from an FFL as a matter of policy. Check ahead of time with the receiving FFL. HB
