92xj
Muck boots are my number one snow boot as well as hunting boot. When you start to heat up just roll the top part of the boot down and it cools off your feet and calf pretty darn good. I have worn then all day long in snow and ice and stayed warm and dry. I would not get another boot unless I was walking for miles and miles, then I would look at some sort of lace up, I think. It's going to be insanely hard for me to stray away from the muck boot. Plus, when you take them off fold the top down and they are super easy to get on and off. That is another huge selling feature for me. TBow
It's for sure that if you want your feet to have a chance at staying warm in cold temperatures, don't wear tight boots. They need some space to allow them to have some air as an insulating quality. That being said, too loose and your feet will be slip slidin' all day long inside of the boots and you'll be uncomfortable as heck, not to mention the probability of blisters. Sizing is importante'! That's one reason why I'd be somewhat hestitant to buy boots on-line or via a cataloge ordering store, rather than in-store where you can try them on for sizing purpose. I guess that goes for any boot, no matter what type you choose. What has worked for me for really cold temps here, is the traditional green rubber type hunting boots with a removeable liner with a nylon upper rim with draw cord. I don't get the $29.99 valued boots, but rather a better quality boot and better grade liner. For the extreme cold temps I buy my boots about 4 sizes larger than my foot size then double up the liners. I also use an air spacer in the bottom of the boot. The boot will still generate moisture from your feet sweating, but you'll still stay warm throughout the day. Most impotant note is to remove the liners when you get home or back in camp to allow the liners as well as the inside of the boot to dry out before use the next day/time. My boots are made by Baffin and are the Trapper model. They sell for around $80 to $90 here in Canada and an extra set of insulated liners will run anywhere from $30 to $50. One of my friends just bought another model made by Baffin and had a more significant liner in them and seemed to be a more robust outer shell as well. GWSmith
Liner sock and a good Wool Wader Sock...and I do stay out in the Snow all day hunting with the boots below. My normal shoe/boot size is 12 and the extra space allows the blood to circulate in my feet while allowing for the space taken up by the larger socks so they dont compress my feet: ...and besides the Camo is Awesome and the thread pattern is unbeatable;)
Alisha
I'm going to echo Ben here, and say Muck boots as well. They are comfy and warm!
Goinghuntin
I just wear 16-inch barnyard muck boots with a couple pairs of socks. Tall enough that I can still cross creeks with dry feet and light enough that my feet don't feel heavy. Don't wear too many socks though; my feet will just sweat and get colder than if I only wore a pair or two. Nathan

GWSmith
Alan they are the lightest boots I've ever owned. They are 4.2 lbs with heel and arch supports in each boot.
TBow
I think it's important to note just what usage one intends the boots to be exposed to. If you're going to be active during cold weather, then a lighter, less insulated boot may suffice. If you're going to be inactive for 3 to 4 hours in a treestand at -10 to -30 F temps, then you might want to opt for greater insulation with less mobile attributes......I hate being cold! jcot2773
I know a bunch of people that have used the cabelas line of boots. They say that they are not the most comfortable to walk in and be on your feet all day but they are warm. I use Lacrosse boots as well, and they are by far the warmest boot i have ever put on my feet.
RackBlaster
I have been using the Cabelas Still Hunters for the last 3 years and could not be happier . I hunt in in single digit weather and these boots are the great. They are extremely comfortable and keep my feet warm. I suggest getting 1 size larger for a wool sock and sock liner and your good to go. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Footwear/Mens-Footwear/Mens-Hunting-Boots/Mens-Insulated-Hunting-Boots%7C/pc/104797980/c/104747580/sc/104826780/i/104841180/Cabelas-Still-Hunter8482-1400-Pac-Boots/749785.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ffootwear-mens-footwear-mens-hunting-boots-mens-insulated-hunting-boots%2F_%2FN-1102846%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104841180
