Turkeygirl
Started yesterday afternoon not feeling so hot. Then had some nast abdominal spasms followed by hourly runs to the BR ALL night long. Pretty miserable. Finally at like 10:30 at night I got rid of my entire lunch plus some.:surrender: Was still up all night each hour...got up at a little before 4am and have been on the couch, muscle aches, but at least the BR runs and spasms have lessened. What a way to spend my days off. If you think of it, say a little prayer, working tomorrow, hope to have some of my strength back. Tell you what, haven't been this sick in ages and don't want to again. I have a feeling it's what a couple patients at work had.

92xj
It's a goverment conspiracy. Get the flu shot, get all kinds of weird sickness, buy meds, take time off work to allow someone else to work so they can tax two people for that time slot, have them sit at home and buy 'sick food' like soup, use more water than normal for a little longer baths and to wet washclothes for your head. Dont get the flu shot and dont get sick. Weird.

This stomach bug doesn't usually get bad until the cold fronts start coming thru. It's been going around down here and I have friends in North Carolina that were sick with it last week and now Ruth has it up in NY. This tells me that it is pushed down out of Canada with these cold fronts. Thanks Buckee.

wtnhunt
Hope you get to feeling better soon Ruth. Stomach bugs are certainly no fun, your line of work you will probably build somewhat of an immunity to some of the crud over time, either that or you will stay sick. Hope you don't pass it along to your family.

Turkeygirl
Thanks guys...had to call in for work tomorrow...feel a little better but no appetite and still making the runs to the BR...trying to get re-hydrated. When I called though, my manager told me they have 4-5 patients with it now...not good at all. Def. don't want my family getting it... 92xj - I don't blame the flu shot...why? Because there are different strains and when they produce the vaccine in advance, they can only make a guess as to what will be the pathogen going around down the road.... Shaun_300
Hope you're feeling better soon Ruth! The flu sucks! I'm one of the lucky ones who rarely gets sick. Never got a flu shot and don't plan on it. Seems like everyone I know who gets it gets sick at some point during the year. I haven't had the flu in about 5 years, and before that it was a longer stretch of not having it.
