Seems a little Cold for December

Its only mid December and this morning we had temps at -16 degrees. I am not even sure what the wind chill is but sure seems cold for early in the season. Makes a person not look forward to January. Only 4 more months of this:surrender:

I'm hoping that since winter decided to show up early, that it will leave early too. The end of February would be a nice time for it to disappear.

Ummm yeah like the fall weather, but these consecutive days of not getting to freezing are not so nice. Got a warm up here today from what we have been seeing the past week or so, and still below average for the day today. Should be close to average temps here tomorrow but for how long who knows. Global warming eh???

it's a bit colder almost everywhere. you seldom hear of the massive ice buildup known to be happening at the south pole. all the global warming folks hide that fact and talk about the glaciers melting at the north pole.

I experienced it first hand out hunting for the last 9 days or so with a 1 day break in between. Dang cold for now. I was surprised we didn't get any snow. 24 deg right now and 15/20wind again today.

I cant wait for the threads in may - september about how hot it is and why are people seeing 100 degree days when they have never seen them before. I seem to remember quite a few of those post the past two summers. It will happen again.

The cold and snow I can deal with...I have lived in the North east my whole life. It is the dang wind I can do without. Kicking the real feel temps to single digits and below. Hard to move with many layers on so Under Armor cold gear is the right stuff.

Hasn't got quite that cold here without windchill, we've seen -20 windchills. -5 was the coldest temp so far.

Interesting, all the literature I've read concerning Antartica has concluded that it's losing large amounts of ice annually.

All to aften the terms 'climate' and 'weather' are used interchangeably. "Global Warming" is slang for the appropriate term..."Climate Change". Currently all evidence points towards a warming trend, many believe this warming trend would be occuring even without a human presence on earth. It seems human activity is influencing this warming trend, perhaps even hastening it. Two important questions should be;

1) Is our activity (primarily the burning of fossil fuels and habitat degradation) influencing this climate change and.....

2) If so, to what degree. (Pun intended!)
