Hoyt03
I know a regular 870 express isnt the best possible turkey gun but its what I have available and what I plan to use this spring. Its equipped w/ a 28 inch barrel. Would a plain old full choke made by remington be what I need for turkeys? Appreciate any info
Mach1
Re: What kind of choke should I get for my 870 express I shoot an 870 express and I use the turkey choke made by Remington.
maddhunter
Re: What kind of choke should I get for my 870 express I have used the Rem. Superfull tukey choke , it works really good. I now am satisfied with a Tru Glow choke, Rem. 4x6 magnum turkey loads and Tru Glow sight.
snapper
Re: What kind of choke should I get for my 870 express If I were to shoot 3" shells out of my super express...I'd go back to my M.A.D. max tube shooting Rem. #6's. Not all guns (even the same model) shoot the same. See if you could borrow a few extended chokes from friends, co-workers, whoever and find a good combination that works for you. An after market extended choke tube will pattern much better than any factory choke...but you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get good results.
