Cell + Phone through the Cable Company

...and since this past Election it's on the verge of becoming just cell.

I do imagine though just about the time I switch over to all cellphone they will figure out a way to send the 5 Million political calls to the cellphone...and of course there will be No Way To Block Them @$^$*@*&:hammer2:

Both.

The only reason we have land line though is for the DSL.

Same here too. We use our landline about 10% - 15% of the time. Generally we use cell phones.

However, we have to have DSL. Its the only affordable option in my neck of the woods. Our local phone company has the area locked down.

DSL, 250mb - 700mb possible is $35 a month.

Wish I could get cable.

Cell only for my son & I. When I moved into the new house, I didn't figure the 3 or 4 calls we were making on the land line at the old house was worth it. Plus, couldn't get DSL at this location. Been this way for about 7 months. Only a couple of times I have wished for a land line and that was when I was trying to get hold of my son while he was texting on his cell. Overall do not regret the decision. Do miss the DSL though.

Exactly my situation.

That NetBlue, or whatever it's called, is pretty expensive.

Cable is getting close to us though, I don't know if that's a good thing, or bad thing.

Never had a cell phone and don't intend to. The charges that the various communications companies can come up with rots my socks and I guess it's one of my pet peeves. I've not felt any deficiency in my connecting with friends or businesses or whatever by sticking to the old fashioned land line. Am I showing my age?:D

My brother in law lives in Broken Arrow (Suburb of Tulsa) and he has Cox Cable. He pays like $30 a month and its measured in GB instead of MB.

I know cable is faster, my point is, if cable gets to me, that means the population of my area has increased to the point where it's profitable for the cable company.

I'd rather have the open spaces. :D

Ahhh..... clear as mud. :D

But I agree. If I had a dozen neighbors as expense for high speed cable I would pass too....
