Deer feed question for you guys

Never used that before.....

I don't any more but I use to feed some Purina Deer feed........To be honest the deer would eat it but they didn't love it. It had a bunch of high proteins in it and was suppose to be good for them. I mixed it with corn to make sure they ate it all. Now I spend that money on food plots. That way they have the good food I want them to have YEAR AROUND and not just when I dump it.

I do however each winter dump corn out. I do this for monitoring purposes to see what deer made it through the seasons and when they start shedding.

Bulk corn is/was much cheaper than deer specific feed. ;)

I was talking to a guy yesterday and he has been feeding "Creep" to deer. It is a calf pelletized feed.

He says they love it but I don't know what to think, I am pretty sure it probably has anit-biotics and stuff like that in the feed.

Not so sure if it would be a good thing to feed wild deer, what do you guys think?

If it does have chemicals in it why feed it to deer ?? That is one of the big pluses of venison, least in my book.
