Diamond Archer 01
I just bought the TC Venture in .308. I researched and looked at tons of rifles. I felt this was the best gun for the money. I can't wait until spring to start shooting a bunch of different loads out of it! I see I did it again. Tyler was logged in when I posted this. Oh well I meant to post this under "stcif".
m gardner
I sold my A-Bolt in 270 and replaced it with one. Bought another in 300 win mag too. At $400.00 each (after rebate) you can't beat the quality. They shoot well and the zero doesn't wander on either of mine. Here's a target from the 300 and the elk I shot at 322 yards. Good choice.Mark Edited December 19, 2010 by m gardner
stcif
I saw one of your posts from not too long ago and that along with many other accolades made me choose this gun. Can you tell me what scope you are using? That's a nice group with the Barnes bullet! I know I am going to try the Hornady Superformance 150 grain and Federal Premium with 165 grain Sierra Game Kings, among others. I plan on shooting a bunch of different loads until I can get it shooting the best I can. I want it to be decent 250 to 300 yards or so. m gardner
I'm old school and put Weaver K-4's on the ones I use for big game. Not much goes wrong with them and they are good to 500 yards so far. Any further than that just seems wrong. Varmints are a different story. The more magnification the better and there is no unethical shot on a varmint no matter how far he is. Mark

bamabeardbuster
my 308 I just bought a venture in 308 and i am real impressed with the way it shoots. I rarely have more than a 125 yd shot so ive got mine shooting an inch high at 100. I put a bushnell 4200 elite 2.5/10/50 on it
