Goinghuntin
God is good. This has been the toughest season I've hunted since I started going along for shotgun season 6 or 7 years ago. Extreme cold, blowing snow, and rain and ice kept hindering all my efforts and keeping the deer in bed. I also missed a few pretty easy shots. I finally tagged a buck in the last hour of the last day. The neighbor to the west of us made a push in the adjoining timber to where we were hunting and ran some deer beneath my stand. I took a shot at the deer I had the cleanest shot at. He wasn't the biggest buck, but with how hard it's been this year I'll definitely take him with a smile on my face. Also of note, it was my first kill with my Optima muzzleloader. Nathan

Goinghuntin
Late season bucks are the best! Congratulations Darn right they are! And I worked hard for this one too. He wasn't the biggest buck I saw during the season but I had the clearest shot at him, so I'm happy with what I've got Nathan
