Dakota
Dad and I are applying for rifle cow in the Black Hills of South Dakota next year and we are going to be based out of an old military fort and Army hospital just east of Sturgis. This is our second elk hunt but is the first on our own and with both of us being able to shoot. Have any of you ever elk hunted with just two people and do you have any advice or tips? We don't have a four-wheeler, just my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4. All advice, tips and opinions are greatly appreciated, thanks! Andymansavage
I have done it and have some tips.... First one ; get a Havalon knife! http://www.havalon.com/?gclid=CKuh1PLY_qUCFRtqgwodnhPNnQ This will make a world of difference once the elk is down and the work begins.
