preacherman
I am in the market for a meat grinder and have been looking at some from Cabela's. Was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with one of these and what your thoughts on it are? Here is the link to what I am looking at: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bargain-Cave/Home-Pet/Cooking-Food|/pc/105591780/c/105779880/sc/105775380/Cabelas-Commercial-Grade-Electric-Grinders/744936.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse.cmd%3FN%3D1102828
redkneck
Been pleased with my $100 northern tool grinder scott, if it's good enough for snipe, its good enough for me. No doubt the one your looking at is a lot more machine.

RangerClay
Scott this is the one I have and its on sale. I've had it for 4 years and I love it. It will grind meat as fast as you can feed it. Check out the reviews. http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=401783&pdesc=Gander_Mountain_5_Electric_Meat_Grinder&str=meat&merchID=4005
doubleA
I have had the 1 1/2 HP model now for a few years. It will simply grind meat like nobodies business. I also have the the 44 pound mixer that attaches to it that works very well. I would highly reccomend them.
pendog
I have the Cabelas 1 hp and love it. it grinds so good watch out for it catching the stuffer rod and "chewing" on it. It is a great machine
wtnhunt
Don't think you would be going wrong with one of the cabelas grinders Scott. We have had one of the small ones for probably 7 years now. Has worked just fine for us.
fly
I've been using the Cabela's 1hp grinder for 3 years now. I used to use a 100.00 grinder and spent a lot of time cleaning the blade and plate just grinding one deer. When I started bringing in 4-6 deer a season it had to go. The Cabela's 1hp grinder will grind at least 2 large deer without needing cleaned (that's the most I've done at one time). Honestly, it takes longer to clean than it does to grind. Not sure if the 1/2 or 3/4 hp models would do as well, but they do not have the reverse feature like the 1hp model does. If you plan on grinding more than one deer at a time I'd suggest going with the 1hp.
