kimble115
Hi im new to the site and was hoping someone could help me with a question about my food plots. Ive been planting food plots for about 3 years and want to step it up this year and plant about an acre of corn and 1/2 acre of soy beans. What is the best way to plant these if I broadcast seed the corn and beans. I have a set of discs, double bottom plow and drag horrow to work the ground. How many lbs/acre should I use for the seed, and should i roll it in with my quad after i plant. I live in NE Ohio so was planning on planting in early to mid may. Thanks
msman825
Welcome to RT you want to plant corn and beans in row's man. that way you can work them. it's purty simple. but i'd test my soil first to see how much lime i needed. this will kinda give you a idea Edited December 27, 2010 by msman825
