NS whitetail
Since we have been blessed with a prosperous lobster season so far, I decided to get my family a trip to Florida for a Christmas gift. ( my wife loves to travel every winter so she pleases easily with a gift like this ). We did the Orlando Disney thing in 2004 and 2006, this year we have decided to go to St. Petersburg, hoping to find a bit warmer weather than we had in Orlando those two years. My wife does all the leg work finding things to do etc. , so far she has picked Busch Gardens in Tampa to go to and we may take in a Toronto Blue Jays spring training game as well. We are going for a week on Feb. 25th. Does anyone have an experince with St. Petersburg ? Things to see and do ?
GWSmith
Go South to John's Pass for shopping and restaurants. North to Tarpon Springs for the Greek Sponge Dock Culture and the Restaurants there. You have the links I sent you in the Chat on Facebook saved...I posted this stuff to hopefully jog the memory of someone who has been in the area more recently than I have. I spent most of my time in the area at night looking for lighted private Docks to fish for Snook :ninja:
Tominator
You should try and hook up with a charter and go fishing down there. It's a lot of fun.

c_lou
Isn't Sanibel(sp?) Island within reach of St. Petes? A day trip there would be fun. I hear there are tons of seashells on the beaches.
