Turkeygirl
Our one cat finally passed away last night. We've had him for about 15 years, since he was a kitten, he came with us when we moved. Last year he acted like he'd had some type of stroke...He recovered but mentally wasn't quite all there, lol. Last few months he's had to eat canned food then the last couple weeks he just kept declining, only eating liquids. This last week he just went downhill fast, never in any pain, just weak and laying around. We kept him by a heat vent, nice and comfy and each morning, we got up expecting him to have passed but he wouldn't! That cat had a strong heart or something! He's was kind of restless last night actually. We decided if he was still alive in the AM, we'd call the vet. Event hough he didn't look to be suffering, he had literally lost all his weight in a week. Mom woke up around 2am and checked on him and he'd finally gone. Sad but a relief.:bummed: RIP Mittens

woolybear
Sorry to hear it, but glad ol' Mittens went peacefully Ruth. You took care of her the best you could. One thing there's no shortage of around here is free kittens looking for a good home. Kinda sad.....maybe you can hook one up with a place to stay.
