ruttinbuc
Welcome andrew. When sighting in a bow you always adjust the sight following the arrow. If arrow is high move sight up. If arrow is right move sight right.

Straight Shooter
Hello Andrew and welcome to the forums. Glad to hear you are getting into bowhunting hard and heavy. Just like ruttnbuc has said, move or follow your arrow with the sight adjustments. You will be able to do this as a gand adjustment to begin with but after you get the first pin set, the others will be easy by just moving them up and down. I am assuming that you will set your pins at 20, 30, 40 yards, start out with the 20 yard pin and get that adjusted in, then worry about the others. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask.
VermontHunter
When I got into the archery thing I was very fortunate that my father and his friends were there to touter me along .. Also something that may help is your local archery shop if they have a range you can access, I've found that the guys that frequent these shops on a regular basis are more than happy to help with info and tips NOT only on how to setup your bow but how to shoot it properly. I had truoble getting fixed blade broadheads to fly right from my setup, so I went to the shop I bought my bow from and asked for some help, they were more than happy to spend some time with me on the range in between costumers, before I left I had a setup that worked with fixed blade heads and much more .. And then you have the very knowledgable folks that frequent here to help as well .. I hope all works out well for you ,, just remember to have fun .. RangerClay
Welcome to the forums Andrew. Being relatively new at archery hunting myself I have found a wealth of knowledge over on Youtube. It was there that I was able to see how different things are done. Its one thing for someone to explain the answer to your question but its another to see it and replay it. I typed "How to sight in a compound bow" and there are several videos there to assist you. Here was one of them, and another good one, Good luck with your new bow. If you have any further questions be sure to ask around here, everyone will be glad to help. m gardner
Welcome Andrew. What kind of setup do you have or do you intend to buy? I always join the local club wherever I live and hang out with the guys who have nothing to prove.
