The_Kat
:toot:is the greatest purchase I've made in a very long time. This instant movie thing on Netflix is incredible. 8$ a month and I can watch as many movies as I want. Not just movies, but tv show series, all kinds of neat documentaries, kids cartoons.....all instantly at the click of my PS3 controller. We have been big fans of RedBox, but Id encourage anyone with high speed internet to check into Netflix. If you watch many movies at all it pays for it self the first time you watch a couple movies. There is no movie limit either.... I'm sure there are ways to use it besides a PS3, but I like being able to cruise their site on the PS3 and voila....its on my HDTV. Check it out!:toot:

redkneck
I've streamed it to the Wii and works good, just not that much on Netflix I care to stream. Wish they had more titles.
toddyboman
I AGREE!!!! Netflicks is AWESOME! We do the same thing with my PS3. But you can also stream movies to your computer/laptop which I have done when on trips. My kids love it too as they get to watch all kinds of cartoons. I more than get my $8 worth each month. The Bug House
I read somewhere that in the next year Netflix wants to have the entire catalogue available to watch instantly. I'm not much of a gamer, so no game console for me, but I do stream Netflix and HD from my wireless router to a laptop with an HDMI cable to the LCD bigscreen. I haven't paid for "TV" service in a year.

The_Kat
I just got my PS3...I'm not much of a gamer either, but since the wife and kid left I got nothing better to do with my time. RT gives me a headache anymore so I can't spend as much time on here. I like being able to play online with my friends who have PS3's and it's neat using a headset to talk to them in game play. But hands down I think NF is the coolest thing to come with my PS3.

Very true there is WAY more options for DVD than live streaming but still lots of stuff to live stream. Like I said above my kids do a bunch of cartoons and kids movies. The tv stuff and documentaries are good too. I also like how they add new movies to stream. I read somewhere that in the next year Netflix wants to have the entire catalogue available to watch instantly. . WOW that would be great!!! HUNTINGMAN
I had the netflix for a while but canceled it. I found it to be mostly older movies or movies I didn't cre for, although it is a pretty meet way to get them without haveing them shipped in the mail. I got a disk for the ps3 and the wii. fly
Has been great for the kids, they watch the Disney channel shows like Drake and Josh, etc... We go through the Wii. I like the National Geographic shows and the Office series. After you have it for a year you've pretty much seen all the older stuff. Currently I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or not. Jeramie
I wish I had a faster connection. I have a PS3 and a Wii. I would love to have that option but our DSL is slower than allowed (I believe).
preacherman
Is this limited to just newer versions of the PS3 or can you get netflix on older versions as well. Mine is about a year old. Wouldn't even know where to begin to look to find it! Ha! I am officially getting old!

toddyboman
I signed up for the free trial today. Pretty cool stuff. if you watch many movies it easily pays for itself at basically $9.00 a month. The wife and I can easily watch 2 dvd movies a month, we usually watch 3 or 4. It would cost a lot more than that to rent movies from store. And as a bonus my kids can watch as many movies as they want instantly! Win win IMO :D:D
preacherman
Yep, my little man is 7 months old right now and before long he will be wanting to watch all of the kiddie movies and it looks like they have plenty of them.

YEP they do......My kids 5 and 3 years old and watch A LOT of cartoons on it. I like as I know they are watching cartoons and not something else. Then they come yelling that the movie is over and want another. No flipping through the wrong stuff for them.......yet
