Hunt or be Hunted
More then one way to hunt them. The way I do it most the time is, In early season go out looking for where they are eating at. Then when you do that, Look for nest in the trees. When it's hunting time, Sit right in between where they are eating and there nests. For what to use. If you can just use a 22. Fast and easy kill. Late season. They will mostly be on the ground. That's when you really gotta look good. Get on a hill and look down and see what you can find!
Dawg
When I hunt them (which is on a rare occasion nowadays) I use a 12, sometimes 20 and I walk, no sitting and waiting, usually can limit out each day which is 10 squirrels. Best hunt I ever had I limited out within the first hour of legal shooting light.
