Just out of Curiousity!

Just wondering with me up here in Ontario Canada where would be the closest place in the states for me to go to hunt a different species of turkey other than the Eastern.I have hunted and killed easterns here in Ontario.I had this conversation with a friend here in Ontario that has completed the slam just the other day.I beleive he told me that hunting a merimams in South Dakota maybe the next closest place for me to get my next bird.(I could be wrong).Just wondering what everyones thoughts would be on this?Im sure that someone would take me out on a hunt if I could get in contact with the right person. What are my Options?Im not much on Driving down to hunt.I also know that the Florida hunt would be the most expensive.I can wait til a few years down the road for that one.I wouldnt mind either of the other 2 species.Im not sure also what a guided hunt for a merimans or a Rio would cost me?

Just throwing this out there to see the different options.I would love to for it to be in 2011 but I have a bear hunting trip to plan for this coming fall!

Thanks Perry

When you get around to looking at Florida for your Osceola, I would HIGHLY recommend Hoppy Kempfer of Osceola Outfitters www.osceolaoutfitters.com He has tons of land and extremely high success rate. He also has hogs and gators down there to hunt if that would interest you. I hunted hogs and gators with him but Ralph and Vicki go down for turkeys every year and i can't think of a time they didn't come home with their birds all the time I worked for them.

Also where abouts in Ontario are you from, the inlaws have a cottage up on Round Lake which is located just off the south east corner of Algonquin Park.
