92xj
Everyone has their downfall but what makes a man strong is how he can turn it around, learn from it and succeed in life, Hopefully this guy can figure out his life and do something with radio and live his dream. Jeramie
My wife said he was on Good Morning America yesterday. They cut his hair, cleaned him up, and he is now working for a radio station. That video was apparently taken 6-months ago'ish. He is doing fine now.... He was flying out to see his mother for the first time in 10-years. Great story. Ravin R10 man
Shows where drugs & alcohol will get you.....and on the positive side....that it is possible to overcome addictions, and be productive again, and it sounds like he trusted in a "higher power" or at least he is starting to "get it" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAcIFIASiI4 Edited January 6, 2011 by Mathews XT Man
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
He was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight. He announced all of their guests and then had a little interview at the end. Said he is now the official announcer/commercial voice for Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and his first commercial will air Sunday during the Nevada/B.C. bowl game. Great story, I wish him well. He sounds very grateful for this second chance in life.
layin on the smackdown
Said he is now the official announcer/commercial voice for Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and his first commercial will air Sunday during the Nevada/B.C. bowl game. Great story, I wish him well. He sounds very grateful for this second chance in life. Agreed and well said... At least when i watched it he was going to a voice over with Kraft, but he also said he was offered a position with several other agancies and was on the fence as to what to do... I watched his whole interview on the Today show this, morning (1/6/11) and you could tell he was a little overwhelmed with everything going on....I agree with second chances and i wish this man the very best...He's got guts for announcing to the world his past addictions, but he has found a greater power to support him as well.. i think the guy sounds as natural as it can get for any type of media, and i wish him the best... Tominator
Finally got around to watching that vid. I saw that youtube isn't sponsoring it anymore, so I edited your original link Kyle, hope you don't mind. I guess this guy was found in the Columbus area? He was the subject of a local radio show I listen to. I was amazed at how many people called in and denegrated the guy. How could you not like his story? I guess some folks feel threatened by someone else's success? I guess they hope the guy stays homeless leaching off society instead of being a productive member of society. He will have a lot of temptation in front of him now. New found money windfall it would appear, hopefully doesn't revert to the ways that got him panhandling. The_Kat
The only negative I can find in this guy is you can tell he is burnt up from prior drug use and he remind me of a grungy Obama....but thats only appearance. I too hope he uses this AWESOME oppurtunity and makes his life right. He has a big family to be with and should use this chance to reconnect full time.
