4 blade broadhead questions

Just curious who here uses 4 blade broadheads. I was thinking about switching to the 4 blade Slick Trick Magnums for a little more durability. I've never shot 4 blader before, but supposedly the 4 bladers leave a big gash and good blood trailes due to the extra cutting surface with the extra blade....plus Slick Tricks look cool.;) Does everyone that shoots 4 blades have helical fletchings? According to the Slick Trick website that's what they recommend. Unfortunatley, right now all my arrows are straight fletched, but I've been thinking about having them all changed to a helical anyways.

Slick Trick are AWESOME! I shoot the 100gr. mags. My arrows have a slight helical. Super durable, shaving sharp, very affordable, and shoot just like field tips. I have no desire to change to any other fixed blade broadhead. I have a link about Slick Tricks on my computer at home that I will share with you later. Go get yourself a pack, you will love them. MeanV Archery sells them on-line with free shipping.

I've actually been shooting Crimson Talons for about 5 years now and they have been good heads. They fly great and I've got no complaints on the blood trails. The down side is they are a pain to remove from targets and no broadhead wrench fits them, so they can be a chore to take off an arrow. They are generally undamaged when I hit an animal, but the few misses I've had have pretty much destroyed the aluminum ferule on them. I know over on AT Slick Tricks get quite a bit of attention, and some of the kill picks are undeniable.

As for the helical fletching....now I have a reason to buy a new fletching jig.;)

This just in from the Slick Trick Facebook page. Be sure to check out their new GT2

We have upgraded the steel in our blades across the line. Gary requested the best steel from lutz for our blades. We are using there Mercedes Grade steel. We are going from knife grade steel to custom knife grade steel. 25% stronger and better edge retention. Will give more show info tomorrow.
