wtnhunt
Don't drink much anymore. Had a problem with drinking and quit less than a month before meeting my wife, one of the best things I ever did was quitting. Miller genuine draft used to be my favorite when I did drink often though. Anymore when I have a beer I may have a few.
buckee
I used to drink like a fish until my life started falling apart. I thank God that's over with and I was able to get out from under the need for it. Now at least 20 years later, I don't see anything wrong with having a drink every blue moon, but let's not glorify it guys. It's been a ticket to no-where fast for many a youth(and adult). It's funny how we used to try better to avoid stupid discussions like this for the sake of the youth in here. Looks like those lines we had drawn have been all been erased. What a wonderful senseless discussion. (add smiley here) Edited January 10, 2011 by buckee
Newarcher
This thread has gone far too smoothly, so I have to be THAT guy! I'd strongly caution everyone to avoid this pure evil like the plague. I think I have honestly tried three beers in my lifetime, I don't have the stomach for it, makes me want to vomit. Partially from the taste and partially because I've known it was wrong from a young age. My neighbor's kid just came seeking my advice, he's an uncontrollable drunk, drinking 18 a day. I don't think that when he took his first drink he thought he be 18 a day at 30 years old. I don't think the people in prison who killed someone's family while DUI planned it when they took their first drink. I honestly don't say that to destroy the thread (I know you all seem light drinkers but I think all out of control people started as 'light' drinkers). I only say this because I care about all of you guys as friends. But having said all of this, beer to me (as best I remember) is like cigars. I can't tell a difference between the expensive ones and the cheap stuff. New

Gator
Sam Adams, Stella Artois, Corona for those "special" times. When I was drinking on a daily basis, Busch Light!!! I hardly even touch the stuff anymore.....
Guest TennesseeTurkey
I dont think this thread was intended to be a "kegger" or a empty beer can counting contest.... so whats the big deal......if you dont drink thats great, I wasnt out to create a drinking contest.... IMO nothing here could be worse than a beer commercial....(insert smiley here)
unioncountyslayer
Too much of anything can kill you is what I always say. toddyboman
I REALLY like this beer. but I can't buy it in the state of MO......yes it is brewed here in St. Louis but they do not sell it. So I have to travel to IL to buy it. Lucky for me IL is near by. So I generally buy in bulk to have it on hand as needed. When I don't have any Michelob Golden Draft Light I drink Bud light. But in the winter I am more of a whiskey, vodka, and tequila drinker.

What a wonderful senseless discussion. (add smiley here) I don't think anyone is glorifying it. Just a simple question of what beer is your favorite. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with this thread or its discussion. It is just like the snuff thread years ago. I don't see anything stupid about asking a question. If I was KT, I'd be inclined to take offense to being called stupid, or at least told a thread I created merely asking a question was stupid. Instead of drawing a line in the sand and always making something an issue, simply don't comment, or answer the question asked instead of talking down to those who are participating in the discussion. I respect your opinion on beer, and I agree with you 100% on the once in a blue moon thing. But it's legal, and I don't think anyone here is glorifying beer. buckee
OH, I get it now. NEW RULE: You may only reply to a thread if you are in complete agreement with the discussion. Anything said to the negative, will be dealt with harshly .. Carry on. I won't say anything about my poor drinking habits years ago, or how they led me to disaster. It means nothing and does not pertain to this post ...sorry:oops:
