Sorry, didn't realize Scott approved.

Tear each other up fellas.

Who's tearing each other up? Can we seriously not discuss things without people getting offended and defensive at your fellow member's opinions? Good God....

Way to go Mr. Tominator.

People of RT, take note here. He made a simple mistake and fixed it. Kudos Sir.

Now back to beer.

Who makes their own and what flavors?

There are a couple of guys at work that have been making their own brew for years, some good, others not so much. I might have to give it a shot soon and am in the market for a start style kit to see if I like it. Any ideas?

I saw a show on the travel channel? (not sure if it was the travel channel) It was called brewmasters.... it was the Doghead Fish brewery and that show was AWESOME.... It was so neat to see how they came up with ideas for new flavors of beer....

It's a new day buddy, no need to get all fired up. Coming for Tominator it was simply humor and not a call out. Let it ride and talk about beer.

Actually, a little bit of both. :D But, I'll leave it at that.

But, there's a caveat; stick to the topic, if you don't, your post will be deleted, and consider this your PM as to why your post was deleted. :D

I'm a big fan of the different variety of Leinenkugels. From the classic amber to the creamy dark their's is the best to me. If I'm in NW WI I always try to stop at the brewery for a tour.

My buddy makes his own beer and my favorite one is a milk stout. I thought he was crazy when he first wanted me to try one but they are actually really good. I'm not sure of the recipe but it probably would be easy to find online.

I have done a pretty good job to sticking to the topic at hand. For once, I dont think I was the one out of line on this one. But I will respect your words to me and stay on the topic of beer.

I brew my own. Started out with Mr. Beer kits and have progressed to Partial Mashing. Would like to do a full mash but the equipment is a little too expensive.

I love brown ale's when I'm brewing my own.

I've been known to drink Bud Light and Coors Light on occasion but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Sam Adams Oktoberfest. I normally buy a case every fall and it lasts me about a year.

Love a good full body beer with a steak.

I have really been pondering the idea of brewing my own for awhile now. I have no clue what I am doing but it would be neat to give it a try. I am not a real fan of the dark beers, but I don't mind trying new things. I like alot of the mexican imports I have tried. Can you home brew a good pilsner or light style of beer?

That thing is awesome MCH.... how long does it take to make a batch?

Prep, mash and boil time----two hours

Fermentation----minimum two weeks

Depending upon the type of beer, it could be another month before you can bottle or keg.

The majority of my beers, I keg within a month and can drink it not long after. Bottling, you'd have to wait two more weeks for carbonation. Generally, a beer gets better with age.
