Took a look at ryanh's vid that show a Jake beating up on a Jake that he just shot. I shot a gobbler two years ago and the Tom he was with proceeded to thrash him before taking off. This ever happen to you???

Those are such dumb animals, but they sure make a grown man look silly. confused.gif

Re: Ever had this happen?

No but I did have a hen come in to my decoy and whip the heck out of it twice in the same day. The second time she was so close I kicked her in the hind end to get here out of there. She started coming back a third time but the tom beat her there and the big bang shut her up.

Yeah, I shot a jake once and the other jake he was with just kinda lifted his head in curiosity as to what the bang was. Then he headed right for the decoys like nothing happened. Any other time, the other birds flew away.

I was calling to a tom one time and he started to come in from behind me so I turned around and faced away from my decoys. The gobbler shut up and he ended on the other side of me stomping on my jake decoy. It sucks that I missed it and that he tore my decoy up. I got him back for the decoy if you know what I mean.
