  3. I am glad to hear the good news!
  4. Wow...realtree now has a crossbow forum...whats this world coming to? Just kidding....I have one of the things too...and its a lot of fun to shoot.
  5. First of all your membership to Scrubmasters has been revoked...secondly you kill a buck like that and complain because he didnt bleed?...remind me to never give you a million dollars as you would probably complain about paying the taxes. Actually I know what happened.. NC has been invaded by giant vampire :bat:'s ...I know this is true because I read it in a news paper called the Globe. Congrats on the fine kills!!
  6. NOW its realistic practicing.
  7. ...only three weeks until opening day!! Is everybody about ready?
  8. The cash for clunkers program has ended and now the Obama administration is considering a cash for clunker appliances where you will get a rebate for trading in your old washing machine etc for a new energy efficent one. Spikekiller say...Hey big O how about showing us archers a little love?...Spikekiller would love to trade in his 2005 bow and get a rebate on a brand new model with all the bells and whistles. Spikekiller say anybody in the house with me?!
  9. I have only used one pin for years...but my sight is adjustable but I set it at 22 yards...then i good for out to 30 yds and under with having to readjust it. I confuse to easy to have four or five pins staring at me.
  10. Good reply...I also really like a bloody one
  11. Lil...a couple of things I havnt seen addressed yet...first always make sure that the you have the climber and the platform tied together...so if the platform drops off your feet while climbing it wont drop down where you cant reach it. I personally like a foot rest....really helps after a couple of hours. Just practice low at first and take your time...if done right modern climbing stands are quite safe.
  12. Al is a good man...I just recently retired the last of some arrows that I got off him years ago. First class all the way
  13. Get well soon Lil...you wont miss those critters. I had mine out years ago and look how i turned out...ok maybe thats a bad example.:clown:
  14. Hey Lil...how ya been?. Yeah I hope you whack a good one this year
  15. I checked goldtip's site and could not find them...searched a little more and it looks like GT makes them for Dicks Sporting Goods. Thats all I could find but I have shot GTs for years and they make a good shaft so they should be ok.
  16. Thats what I thought everytime I looked at them...they are bigger and heavier then leeches so they almost had to break down like they were known to do.
  17. Alright!!...its on like donkey kong.
  18. Yeah well I'm not buying that it was an accident...we all know that buckee was a troubled youth...but instead of cutting himself he bruises himself....get help buckee!! :clown:
  19. Do you use a round pin guard?...If you do you can use a bigger peep and just align the round pin guard inside of your peep while sighting.
  20. I have never tried the bowjax so I cant say for sure how they work but I would think based on the design that they wouldn't hold up too well kind of like the leeches. I really think that the old tried and true cat whiskers are the best bang for your buck as far as string silencers. You dont have to split your string to use whiskers...I just serve mine on the string with some dental floss.
  21. Here are a couple of accessories that really help on how your bow will shoot. First is the Death Grip...I have used this grip for two years now and it does eliminate torque. This really excels in the field when you are heavy wearing gloves etc. http://vanhandle.com/ The second is the B-Stinger stabilizer...this stab really helps you to hold your bow steady. http://stores.b-stinger.com/StoreFront.bok
  22. Man I have a mortal fear of an arrow breaking like that on me someday and your pic didnt help it any!! Best wishes and I hope it heals fast
  23. After shooting Muzzys for nearly 15 years I have been practicing with some Crimson Talons XT. They shoot well but I dont know yet if I can quit my Muzzys cold turkey.
  24. Great bird Tom2008...congrats Quick question for Straight Shooter...are we allowed to post pics of ugly deer in this thread?
  25. Looks like all the good advise has been given...so all I have offer is be sure to place your stand within 15-20 yards of where that big buck will be passing by on opening day.
