    Magnock

Re: Magnock [ QUOTE ] I like mine! I've been shooting them for... probably about two years now. I think they are worth the money. For me, they just make sense. Archery is all about consistency, doing the exact same thing every time. I believe that these nocks do just that. Just a sidenote that doesn't mean much, but I took my system off for a bit to see what the difference was, and on the first shot, I was surprised at how much more the bow and string vibrated from the nock snapping off the string. I paid $20 for my set on their site about 2 years ago. You won't find a nicer guy than Chris to deal with if you ever have a problem. If you break it, they'll replace it. With the exception of some of their 3D and C-nocks. [/ QUOTE ] Grant Did you find that your broadheads flew better using the magnocks?......i know mine sure did.....i think that outdoors shooting is when they really show how good they work.....doesnt matter how cold or hot it is you still get the same release from the string and like you said consistency is what its all about. I have a whole drawer full of gadgets that i didnt like but the magnock isnt one of them. John

Re: Magnock [ QUOTE ] spikekiller, can u buy the magnock at any local stores or did you buy them online??? [/ QUOTE ] I bought mine from the web site....Chris is a super fast shipper and his customer service is second to none...when i first got mine i didnt tie the reciever on properly and it flew off and lost the magnet....he replaced it no questions asked...since then i had no problems......once in a while you see used ones at archerytalk classifieds but not often. They run about 22.00 for a doz....the nocks them selfs have a lifetime warrenty....even if you hit with another arrow.....just sent them back with 2.00 for shipping and they replace them. If try them and dont like them you can always sell them and get part of your money back as they are pretty popular esp over at archerytalk.com If u have any other questions let me know John
  3. Re: Thumb Releases I use the truball Pro-diamond with a caliper head....it runs around 80 bucks but if you watch ebay or the classifieds at archerytalk you can find a used one for 60 or less I use mine for hunting as well as targets...one neat thing is you can fasten it right on your loop and have your hands free john

    Magnock

Re: Magnock I switched to the magnock this past year and they performed great....this was the first year that i didnt have to tweek my bow to get broadhead hitting with my field points....they flew great. the only down side is the receiver slows down your arrow speed a little.....great product John
  5. Re: Buying a Climber I'm going to cast a vote for the Loggy bayou Illusion stand....it is very sturdy and comfortable....but it think it is only rated for 250# Loggy is running a sale.....my hunting buddy ordered the cosmetic blem GRS and it looked great. Here is a link http://www.loggybayou.net/productpages/cosmeticblems.htm John
  6. Re: climbers [ QUOTE ] I've got the Summit Cobra. Great stand. Anyone tried the newer Loggy Bayou climbers? They look pretty sweet. I like the way the cable connects. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah..I just bought the Loggy Illusion GRS this year...Its very comfortable and hooks up fast and silent....Keystone country store sells it for 199.95 and that includes the gun and foot rest.. Here is a link http://www.keystonecountrystore.com/stor...=5&mitem=41 john
  7. Re: Peep sights.. I agree with tony....a high quality custom made string that does not twist will solve your peep problems.....Winners Choice is prolly one of the most well known strings but there are others that make great strings for less. I bought a set of Berry strings this past spring...wayne newberry makes a good string that doesnt twist for about sixty bucks.I have also heard good things about Prostrings as well. Do some searching on different archery sites and you should find more info on custom strings and who makes them john
  8. I wanted to say thanks to all you guys...i bought my first rifled barreled shotgun this past spring and i have been searching all the posts here to get tips on sighting it in etc. and even thought you didnt know it you all really helped me out alot. Our firearms season opened today and i took my first shotgun buck this morning....I had always used centerfire rifles until this year. As it turned out my gun really liked the winchester superx bri sabots....shooting less then 2" groups at 50 yards. God bless John
  9. Re: *Made a 120 pound mistake, still freezer meat* OK I'll yell at ya..I WANT SOME TENDERLOIN!!...hows that....at least i wait untill they grow spikes
  10. Re: Worst Bow? [ QUOTE ] I don't really blame the bow, but the Pro Shop that sold it to me. It was a Martin Lynx XRG and I had just gotten into archery and this guy seen me coming from a mile away. I shoot a 30" draw and he sold me a bow onthe rack that had a 33-35" draw length. I had that bow at Martin Archery 6 out of the 8 weeks I owned that bow. It got so frustrating with that thing, I had to trade it in. I'm glad I did, I might have given up archery, because of that gentleman/bow! [/ QUOTE ] Dude!!...I had that same bow ....back in the early 90's and had all kind of limb problems so it is one of my choices followed by a Golden Eagle that i owned that also liked to brake limbs so they are kinda tied as my personal worst bows.
