just my second time out using a flyrod and i landed this guy. He was just a hair under 30 inches and was 9 1/4 lbs.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #4 just checking in, the turkeys have moved in behind the house. they have the entire woods scratched up right now. also been getting plenty of pictures on the game cams. Only bummer is i have not been seeing any mature birds as of yet, lots of hens though so the big boys should be coming.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #4 im here, my season does not start until April so i wont be around much until then. Will check in every once in awhile though. So far no birds behind my house where i hunt, but they should be showing up any day now. Scott

Re: TEAM 28 congrats to those who scored. I managed to get a shot at one during gun week with the 44 mag pistol but ended up not being able to find her. I tracked her for a long ways but to no avail.

Re: The Spitfires! columbia station is in lorain county. i am in the bubble that almost connects cuyahoga county. i live on a street that i turn left and i am in medina in less than 1 mile, turn right and i am in cuyahoga in less than 5 miles and go straight i stay in lorain county. I would love the opportunity to hunt but not sure it will be possible this year. My buddy is getting married soon and for gun week we head south for a few days, plus i have a 2 1/2 year old boy that i need to spend my other time with. Maybe we could work something out for a spring gobbler? Scott

Re: The Spitfires! well it was a pretty good week for our team, congrats to those who scored. I will be heading down to southern ohio for the gun week but can only take a doe. I am going to try to get one with the 44 mag handgun. Managed to get one a few years ago but the urge to try again is getting to me.

PAYDAY, shot a 9 pt this morning, will only count as an 8 for this contest as one of the points is under 1 inch, i will post the pictures sometime tomorrow. seeing as how i live in a 1 buck state that is the best i can do for our team. he is not the biggest racked deer i have ever seen but he was a full bodied mature looking deer.

Re: The Spitfires! been seeing my fair share of deer, and most of them bucks. I finally saw one i liked but shot over his back, shot him for 40 and afterwards ranged it and it was 35. The arrow went right over his back. Still got 5 or so more days of vacation to try again and it is supposed to drop big time in temperature, back at it in the morning.

Re: TEAM 28 i was out yesterday and had 2 smaller bucks go by at 60-70 yards. i was not interested in either. i will shoot a doe if she comes by but only if that happens in the next week, then i wait out the rut for the big boy!

Re: TEAM 28 no deer movement here, went out last night and this morning and saw nothing. next try will be on sunday, at least the temps are supposed to drop 20-30 degrees tonight!!! why not go with a silly name that has nothing to do with hunting like chocolate chip cookie, at least we will stand out!
