I went outside to take care of my beagle today. With the temperatures so frigid, I keep his house stocked with plenty of hay. We have an old chicken coop that we keep some bails in. I went to the coop to get some hay with my bare hands...I reached my hand deep into it to get a good arms full and when my left hand got in about a foot, I felt fur and something warm and shaking very nervously. I whipped my hand out and ran to the house to get the .22 and got a shovel. I used the shovel and broke apart the bail of hay to discover a full grown raccoon in it!!!! The .22 took care of him and I feel very lucky I'm not in the hospital getting my hand stitched up and a tetanis shot.

Re: What does your biggest buck score??? 115 from 2005 muzzle loader season. Biggest archery buck was about 110 from 2005 as well.

Re: SCOPE vs. OTPG The 460XVR is a heck of a gun, as I just purchased one myself. But that SCOPE mouth wash crap is pretty strong and very difficult to hold in your mouth for the reccommended 30 seconds!

Re: ouch!! Yeah, Thats got to be painful. I remember when I was 8 or 9 years old, I had planters warts on the bottom of my foot. I had to go get them remove and when they start poking needles and digging in your foot...its painful. Such a sensative area.

When I fish, I fish for the filet, not to throw it back. I think it would be fun to go spearing myself.

Re: Browning Guns The first deer rifle I ever bought was a Browning Hunter 30-06 w. BOSS. Topped it with a Leupold 3-9 40mm....Its still my go to weapon and favorite in the gun cabinet. Very dependable and the accuracy is nearly impossible to beat shooting factory ammunition.

Re: After whitening a skull?? To be honest with ya swampy...I can't answer that question. But what my uncle has done with skull mounts is just dump peroxideover the skull and into a 5 gallon bucket. Puts the peroxide back in a coffee can and dumps it back over the skull 4 or 5 times. After dumping the peroxide over it, use an air gun to spray the peroxide into the small holes and crevases. Let it dry for a couple days and its just as white as any skull mounts ive seen.
