i don't understand why there is a debate at all. if it is proved to be legal in the state you live in and the law says for whatever reason that crossbows are legal to take any animal in that state then there should be no debate. in fact i think crossbows have every right to be a part of hunting period. they don't have any kind of leverage over any other bow. they can't shoot distances like a compound or a traditional bow. the power curve and power stroke on the compound and traditional bow is better they shoot a shorter arrow than the compound or traditional and the crossbow is harder to reload and draw than any bow made. they don't have any advantage over compounds or traditional bows i would be more apt to shoot a compound farther than a crossbow and would be more accurate i believe with a compound but i can shoot one any more. though now i am trying to use a traditional bow and have been successful once since i started using a traditional bow rob k

thanks everone i will get some pics for the computer when he comes back from the taxidermists. it was an awesome sight to behold and an even greater thrill to think i actually made the shot and was able to hit him lol. all i could think about was man at 11 yards and in a stand if i shot under him. said a prayer and let her fly and i guess god thought i be lucky this time lol thanks again for the kind words rob k

hey all i know it's been a long time since i posted but this weekend was full of firsts, including my first animal with a recurve bow. he was a gold medal merino ram. he measured out at 110 3/8" and was an exciting hunt for me. anyone that knows me knows i can talk a blue streak but after this i was speechless until on my way home when mason my hunting bud said you did it and i recounted my hunt to him. what a great weekend. when i finally got ready to shoot i got a serious case oif buck fever but worked my way thru it. then i let her fly and this what i came back with.hope you enjoy the picturesrob k

please remove i got a helical clamp thanks rob k

everyone likes the one they shooting and that can be a lot of different bows. for speed i would suggest the new xforce from pse it is quiet smooth and no hand shock or vibration. for overall feel you will get a lot of ideas. the new bear bows seem nice i wish i could shoot a few but injuries and surgeries stop that from happening so i shoot my horton crossbow rob k

for my god daughter and wife it will be a 223 and for me and my mrs once she gets it down will be a 243. i have my 308 which is my favorite of all but sometimes it helps to go smaller. today with the 223 you can get a young man or girl set up and find plenty of good ammo to use to take deer size animals rob k

bonded is kind of self explanitory. the bonded is a bullet that the outer shell is actually bonded to the lead in the bullet and the standard is a poured intot he outer shell if i remember that right. a bonded bullet is kind of like when you bond your fletching to the arrow shaft and it is a tighter hold and makes the bullet less apt to come apart as easily hope that helps as i am not able to be technical rob k

there shouldn't be any problem with flight of the arrow when you shoot the 3 blade. i have shot mechanicals with blades that opened up front and i never had a problem. the blades won't affect the flight the design will stop that problem and it will actually be like shooting your field tips. the snypers are similar but use a band to hold the blades and aren't self locking as the rage heads are and i have shot them for a while and fromt he package to the target they hit where you aim. if your worried about flight and if the head will cause planning don't worry about it at all rob k your set up is fine however you want to make it work

i am trying to find some things i need for my hunting set up and would like to trade this barrel for a good nikon monarch or realtree range finder and a good pair of nikon bino's in 10x40. this is a matchgrade barrrel bull style and an 8fluted barrel. i have not shot this barrel got it in a trade but the person i did the trade with said it was very accurate and shot only two boxes of shells thru it. it is stainless. matchgrade barrels has a site. the barrels are all custom barrels for encore and other tc products. the barrel retailed for over 600 dollars. i have pics of the barrel upon request. let me know if your interested in a trade and if your an encore shooter i would guess you would like this if your into varmit and predator hunting. you can contact me at [email protected] and i will gladly ship you some pics with your email thanks for looking rob k

would also trade for extra high rings if anyone has any they would trade for some medium or high rings. i have a weaver style base on the barrel thanks rob k
