I don't see what the big deal is about the HP #'s that the Toyotas have. Nascar makes the rules and teams play within those rules. If Toyota did their homework and are able to achieve anywhere from 15-60 HP more than the other manufacturers then they should reap the rewards of that. The other manufacturers are now playing catch up and thats the way it should be. If Dale Jr. was driving a Toyota and winning races like Kyle is, this would be a non-issue on this site.

Since the "Bowhunter Challenge Game" on Realtree's site doesn't have high scores listed I was just wondering what everybodies score were. So far the highest I have is 4050.

I am starting to get serious about getting into a house of my own and I'm looking for any advice from loans, to the building process, heating/cooling systems, or even buying a home. I am currently leaning towards buying a lot in a local small subdivion and putting in a modular (not a doublewide) ranch, so this way I don't have to worry about what somebody else did to the home and I can have it built the way I want it. I am single so the need for an extravagant home is not needed. Any pros/cons to the modular home vs. a stick built home? Thanks for any help!!

I should first start by saying that I bought my Omega new back in 2004 and have never shot more than 110 grains of 777. Today while shooting I just couldn't get it to shoot any bullet, sabot, powder charge consistent. My uncle was looking at my gun and noticed a bulge in the barrel about 4 inches down from the muzzle. I thought maybe that it was just on the outside but after disassembling the gun it was clear that the bulge was the whole way through. Has anybody else had any problems like this with their Omegas or T/C's in general. Needless to say its getting taken back to the shop where I bought it tomorrow! Hopefully T/C will stand behind the barrel and replace it before the early M/L season gets here Oct. 13.

I have a Ross CR334 with an NAP Quiktune 360 rest, and a Copper John Dead Nuts Hunter sight. I just changed sights from a Kodiak Archery to the Copper John and I'm out of adjustment on my sight and rest. I was shooting great with the Kodiak but I broke my one pin and cant find anywhere around that carries these or else I would have never changed sights this close to the season. I have everything on the sight and rest as high as I can take it and I'm still shooting about 10 inches high at 20 yards. The only other thing that I could think of doing is taking it into the shop and having him adjust my knock point. Is there anything I should have him do if I have to take it in, ie: papertune, etc? Thanks for any help!!

wildthing-it says in your profile that you are from pittsburgh. Why not just skip on over to WMU 2B and hunt as much as you want. As of this afternoon there were still 67300 doe tags still available so that excuse doesn't work. Just in case you missed it 2B has an additional six weeks to archery hunt does this year. This is from the PGC website. "DEER, ARCHERY (Antlerless Only) WMUs 2B, 5C and 5D: Sept. 15-28, and Nov. 12-24. One antlerless deer with each required antlerless license. DEER, ARCHERY (Antlerless Only) WMUs 2B: Dec.10-22. One antlerless deer with each required antlerless license."

This is from a guy who owns an Equalizer and owned a Summit. As far as I am concerned the Equzlizer is far superior to any other stand on the market. Frankly, the summit just seemed to cheesey in comparison to the Equalizer. I think if Equalizers would be sold at all the big chain stores like cabelas, bass pro, gander mtn, etc. there would alot more people using them and loving them. A fine stand that I would absolutely recommend to anyone!

I have a chance to buy a lightly used Legacy loaded for a decent price. I currently have a 6 or 7 year old Mathews FX and its time to upgrade. My brother has a Legacy and I have shot that a few times. So how much better is the Switchback X/T compared to the Legacy. I figure with the good deal that I am getting I could probably sell the Legacy and make some money off of that and then go buy the Switchback or possibly the new Drenalin. Thanks for any help!

Re: Pennsylvania Deer Population I beleive kids will get and stay interested if the people around them can put a positive spin on their hunting experience. They will lose interest and eventually quit if all they hear is "there are no deer", "the PGC ruined hunting", etc, etc. There is so much more to hunting than just seeing a deer. Heck take a kid out spring gobbler hunting and they should be hooked for life. When that longbeard comes strutting in to a young hunter, what a rush. If that doesn't work, nothing will. There are squirrels everyone. More grouse around this year and any time in recent memory, not to mention other oppertunities for small game. How about trapping? So many predators around and hardly anyone doing it. Bottom line, when the people around kids can't keep a positive attidude it rubs off on the young hunters. Maybe try educating the yourself and the young hunters to why the PGC has lowered the deer herd instead of just complaining.

Re: good news boys PA rut is on! haha I believe Strut hit the nail on the head. Bucks were cruising around Nov. 2-6 mainly, and from then on a few does came into estrous and they got locked down with one doe instead of just running around like fools looking for that first one to come in. Of course its hard to acutally see a rut when you hunt in the norther tier.

I just bought the new Scent Blocker Dream Season suit and was wondering how you guys with the Scent Blocker/Lok store your clothes. I always kept my other clothes in a plastic tub with H.S. Scent Wafers, and had pretty good results. Would it hurt to store my Scent Blocker that has been washed in scent free detergent with my other clothes/scent wafers.

Re: #60 gets moved for #8 Some of you guys must have had a few too many budweisers. Obviously Carl got loose, there is absolutely no denying that. Carl could have saved that car from wrecking just he like he did countless other times throughout the race. However this time was different because the back tires weren't on the ground. Afraid of getting run over for checking up, who the heck was going to do that? Casey Mears was in fourth place a good 8-10 car lengths back at that point. Jr. must have learned that move from his daddy with 2 to go.

Re: #60 gets moved for #8 It's funny how Jr. took someone out to win the race and nobody has a problem with it, "it's just racing." BUT, when Gordon did that same move to Kenseth everyone was up in arms at Gordon. Carl didn't break anything coming out of turn 2, it was a joke. The whole incident could have been avoided it Jr. would have lifted instead keeping the accelerator mashed after he lifted the rear of Carl's car off the ground. I don't think Jr. was real proud of the way he won the race, he seemed a little somber in victory lane.

[/ QUOTE ] One word would describe what your finding, HABITAT! We would have more deer now, and healthier deer to boot, if we wouldn't have to had to many deer for 50+ years. If the herd would have been balanced with the habitat since the 1930-40's until now, I would be willing to bet that deer numbers would be significantly higher than what we are experiencing today. No doubt poaching is a serious problem, especially here in northern PA, but there isn't a whole lot the PGC can do about it, when they don't know about it. The guys that do it are good at and don't slip up too much. I hope you fully support the license increase which should help the PGC field a staff of highly qualified officers to catch these poachers.

Re: PA Hunters!! Doe tags!! You guys that refuse to buy a doe tag or shoot a doe are only prolonging this HR program. The sooner the habitat can recover, the sooner this program will end. When the professionals say that habitat has recovered enough to support more deer, then you will start seeing more deer again. Why not get this done and over with now, instead of dragging it out for the next 10, 20, or 50 years?
