  1. My bet is second week of october and first of november. Its gonna be early cold weather is here to stay. The bucks are acting to funny for them not too. Goodluck guys
  2. lol thats funny i guess they havent ever seen the ones killed here in Ky i know of plenty of 200" Jessie Fulton killed one that scored 238 3/8. But if everyone has to brag there is big deer in every state just not the right hunters to kill them. Thats why i dont have a 200" deer lol but i know where Jessies came from and where the others are at. Just not lucky enough to see the suckers in daylight anyway..
  3. no i wouldnt. I would let my kid use a 243 nothing smaller. Plus if you cant kill it with one shot you prolly shouldnt be using it.
  4. LOL! Well there are big deer in Kentucky seen plenty I personally harder to kill here than everywhere else. But I have killed a doe and passed on a 125 in deer tonight. Got a 155 in on camera just cant get daylight pics.
  5. Thanks guys. I like the new bushnell walmart has its small and a one year battery life good pic quality. If it gets stolen you wont be out much
  6. For the money or quality whats the best trail camera in your opinion. Some cameras are good but mess up after a while. Like moultrie i like them but all mine have screwed up after a year or so. What do you all like...........
  7. anyone else have a opinion. or have one of these cameras
  8. WOW! Im with Hoosierhunter that deer isnt near 155 and its between 115-120. Come on its just a 8-point guys. Its a nice deer but there would be alot of ppl in trouble if it was somewhere with a 130" minimum. I got one about like it in my room give or take a few inches bigger but this deer isnt 130.
  9. I have a moultrie i60 camera and i was going to update it well moultrie had updates for it but now there is none on there website. Where would i find them???
  10. WOW thats awesome, some guys took my cuddeback no flash and a 200.00 lock on stand and i never found out who got it.
  11. what exactly does it do. is it live video or what
  12. Thats what I did there is no sence in getting a new bow when you can shoot the one you got perfect and it gets harder when you kill several deer with it.
  13. I got mine at a pro shop around here, but you can get them online also. You can look at them at www.MathewsInc.com. I can upload pics...
  14. All those are correct, everyone likes to see what there shooting and where the arrow hits so they drop there bow away to see where the arrow hits and you always miss. SO watch the arrow hit the target through your site. And another is form everything you do when you shoot has to be repeated on every shot or you will see a different hit or miss. next thing relax and dont shoot to quickly never rush take a breath and release easy no hard pulls. Another big problem dont knock your arrow from the side, put the arrow on the rest and knock it that way. The reason is that if you do it from the side you will turn the string to lay it on the rest. Therefore you peep site will be turned wrong and your shot will be off. Bows are science up is down and down is up left is right and right is left when your sighting in. You shoot high you move the pin higher, you shoot to the left you move it to left. But the best advice is shoot with someone who has done it then its simple.
  15. I finally got my new focus grip for my Switchback Xt today. It feels amazing in the hand and i can done tell why i have missed deer. I hardly ever torque left or right but in a tree stand i tended to shoot high and i dont now. Some ppl said that bows do that at different angles and thats true but this grip takes it away for me. I had high country and hoyt and a McPhearson bows and never had much problem with them shooting out of a stand but i have shot over deer with my mathews bc the grip. And yes i do aim lower when in the tree but this focus grip helps that problem by a long shot. Its slimmer feels great and shoots better. If you have a mathews its worth the money. 49.99 :hammer1:
  16. and yes tominator is for real, peeing in a bottle is the same as buck urine bc buck urine is ammonia and after so many hours our pee turns into ammonia. Therefore instant attractant. Read your magazines
  17. I only pay 55 to 60 for a dozen. so i would pass
  18. Has anyone tried these yet? I think the 2 1/4" cut would be nice as long as the flight is good....:jaw:
  19. To me its like this if your gonna use a crossbow its like the comparison of me taking my slingshot and you taking a rifle. Cheating. I can understand it if you are incapible of using a bow but a crossbow to me just takes the thrill of the hunt out of it. If I was to classify a crossbow it wouldnt even be considered a bow just another type of rifle!
  20. well thats the thing i know the location but i dont wanna bump him to find the exact spot of the morning. some ppl just walk in and sit down but i cant get that close undetected there smart and fly out. plus i would have to use a gun without a choke bc its so thick with my tube i would have to hold really good or miss lol
  21. no kidding i wish i was able to be apart of the youth hunt again you could hollar come here boy and a tom would come into range i was so jealous when i went with my lil cousin..
  22. sounds like my luck the very first morning. You know how you feel when you sit down and its all just starting for the season the crows are calling and the gobblers are tore up. Your emotions are high and all of a sudden you see the toms coming then boom boom boom. Three guys walk out tresspassing and shoot at your birds. Yeah thats my season so far and im fueming. P.Od bad! But they got to meet our local game warden haha.
  23. Well i dont know what to say this season so far is really hard. I have birds gobbling everywhere and cant get them to come in there henned up. I have went mornings mid-day and used different calls no calls and decoys. So this afternoon i hunted them like deer just sat and waited and seen birds but the hens had other plans to keep me from scoring on a big gobbler.. What can a man do???
