290 is a great score Ruth. You will definitely have qualified, as I had to send invites to the top 20 in each class at our clubs world qualifier this past April. Where did you qualify at?

Yes...please post! I am growing Cayenne, Habenero, and Jalepeno this year. I cut them in half and vac seal them and freeze them to use for chili or making sausage later in the year.

I live and hunt in Connecticut. We will never get Sunday hunting in this state. Every year we have it wrapped up and the liberal dems block it. It reallt sucks as someone who works 5 1/2 days a week. It is really hard for me to get a Saturday morning off to hunt. Maybe someday

I shoot 2 white, one orange, with an orange nock on a white based wrap for hunting. The orange nock helps me see my arrow against a brown back ground, really helps me see the location of the hit. The white vanes and wraps make it easy to see in the binos what kind of blood I have.

Too open the eyes of the people hunting in my area. 9 out of 10 of them will pass a doe to shoot a 4" spike. Getting harder and harder to see a mature buck in the area I do most of my hunting.

Guys...I ned to apologize big time. I had a horrible year. Not a lot of deer on my property, and I didn't get the chances to huntthat I have other years. I never got back out after Thanksgiving morning. I passed on a 6 pointer witht he bow, and a 5 pointer with the gun this year. Those were the only shot oppurtunities I had all year. I feel bad, like I let the team down. Once again, I'm sorry.

I can't even begin to tell you all how bad this has affected me. I live 10 or 12 miles from where this happened, and work in the adjacent town. I have a friend who works for the Newtown school system, and the school where this happened is his assigned school. Thankfully he took today off. I can't even imagine how this has affected him! A guy I work with ...his neighbors 5 year old son was killed in the shooting. I have been going back and forth all day between totally pissed off and trying not to break down and cry. Another guy I work with summed it up pertfectly...it is obvious that some people definitely don't know GOD.

Congrats on the doe Rhino...This year has been terrible for me...I have seen one deer from the stand and it was the buck I posted pics of that I passed on. I have NEVER seen less deer movement on this property than this year. Time to start exploring some other options. Good luck everyone

Luke...Scott and I are the only person in a mile radius around where I hunt that don't shoot this deer. I'll likely see him again in the back of someones truck. I look at it this way...if I shot that deer it never had a chance. At least I gave it a chance. If another hunter kills it, and is happy with it....I'm ok with that too. I've gutted and dragged a few deer on this property that I had passed on. Bottom line is that I wouldn't have felt good about myself shooting this deer....but if another hunter shoots this deer, and is happy...I'll be happy for him....kinda...lol

Last Saturday I had this guy come into my stand. Had him withing 20 yards for at least 20 minutes eating acorns. Giving me multiple "Perfects Shots". He is young and very big bodied. Really hope he survives this year, Love to see him in a year or 2.

Corey...I can totally relate to lifes unexpected twists. I have been dealing with the exact same thing the past few years, between my father passing, and my moms declining health, and the wife being out of work...Hang in there....drop me a line if you need a shoulder....I've been there!

I passed on a very decent 6 point tonight...young deer...lots of potential...I know my property has potential for bigger deer. He was broadside between 14 and 20 yards for 20 minutes!!!!
